Anything we can change to make others like us, or is this not important?

I am starting to feel a big disadvantage we have is the the US is a huge melting pot. You find a France, an Italy, etc, and 90% of the people are from that respective country.

The mantra that “GWB made the world hate us” is accepted as gospel by most people who never spent much time outside the US before GWB came along.

I can tell you from personal experience that the rest of the world wasn’t exactly in love with us prior to January 20, 2001.

For me, the fact that GWB put American interests over world opinion is a point in his favor.

I agree with you that “GW3 has made the world laugh at us” but the reason they’re laughing is that BHO is falling all over himself in a futile attempt to make the rest of the world like us.

Regardless of the opinions of individuals in other nations, other governments don’t like us, have never liked us, and will never like us. The more concessions we make to other nations, the more they will see BHO as what he is, a weak, ineffective man, blindly fumbling about in a world that is far too complex for him to understand.

GWB certainly did some things I didn’t agree with, but I don’t think he made our country look like @#%$.

And while BHO has so far done exactly nothing with which I agree, I still wouldn’t say he’s making our country look bad, as much as he’s making himself look like a complete idiot.
