I've shook his hand. You can take the real measure of a man in just a few moments of meeting him by shaking his hand and seeing if <em>he </em>can even pretend to be interested in meeting <em>you </em>and actually listening while you speak to him. McCaul doesn't seem at all able to do this in the few times I've met him and shaken his hand. He was indifferent, detached...he seemed like he'd rather be anywhere else other than speaking to one of his constituents. But it really boils down to, "I've shaken his hand, and took the measure of the man. And he doesn't measure up as a man." I think he's a typical power-first and power-by-all-means politician.
