Chris Dodd: Out of the Senate and into the Treasurey?

AllahPundit: “Really, Democrats? Countrywide Chris guarding the federal coffers?”

Lots of speculation and rumors that Sen. Chris Dodd’s (D-Conn.) bribe to drop his bid for re-election this year (for the good of the party, don’tchaknow?) is to make him the Treasurey Secretary.

That’s like putting the Hamburglar in charge of guarding the nation’s hamburger stores.

At a moment when The One’s taking heat for being too cozy with Wall Street, he’s going to appoint a guy whose pool of Wall Street donations over the years is so deep he could do the backstroke in it?

  1. Oh crap, I hadn’t connected the dots! What better way to ditch the weasly little tax cheat Timmy Geithner in favor of the bigger cheater, ala Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Chris Dodd. You just can’t make this stuff up fast enough.
