This clip from Scott Brown, who is scaring the hell out of so-blue-it’s-nearly-black Massachusetts (without an extra ‘e’) Democrats, is brilliant:

Key quote: “With all due respect, it’s not the Kennedy’s seat and it’s not the Democrat’s seat; it’s the people’s seat.

Except that MA Democrats actually do believe it’s their seat, rather than it belonging to the people of MA.

After Scott Brown raised more than 1.3 million dollars in one day yesterday, and with polls showing this race to be much, much closer than any Democrat would have ever believed — they are scared. Do you know what kind of message this sends to Democrats about their prospects in 2010 if they can’t even hold the bluest seat in the entire Senate?

If Brown pulls off the upset in MA, watch for even more Democrats to suddenly announce their retirement plans instead of getting pasted at the ballots in November.

Martha Coakley should be up by more than 40 points. Which is why she’s in D.C. today raising money from lobbyist.

(Brown is a 30-year member of the Massachusetts National Guard, where he currently holds the rank of Lt. Colonel. The fact that he is an Army man is just one more reason to love the guy.)

  3. It will be interesting to see what happens, though I have heard some grumblings that Brown may not be as conservative as we would like. If all he could do as Senator was to upset the power grab by Reid/B-HØ with a no vote on the alleged health care reform and crap and tax, I’m all for him.
I read a report that moveon is rushing their goons and fraudsters to Mass., as the special election is typically a low turnout event. Soros will spend whatever is necessary to buy this election.

  4. Maybe for once the good guy will win. I’m hoping.

  5. If he wins nothing will happen to the healthcare bill because they will delay his confirmation.

When I say ” if ” he wins you have to realize that you got John Kerry pulling punches and favors for the other candidate and who knows what kind of tricks ACORN and the unions are up to.

  6. Seems that the Huffington Post is trying to do some Alinky tactics on this one…

Saying the Repubs have already won or will win to discourage them from going to vote that night.

  7. Coakley and her staff are getting quite testy, as witnessed in the video as she leaves the fund raiser in D.C.
