Another rat has abandoned the sinking USS Democrat Party. Rep. Vic Snyder (D-AK) has announced he will retire instead of taking a beating at the polls in November because of family concerns.
I’m sure the fact that the latest polls had Rep. Snyder badly trailing Republican challenger Tim Griffin 56-39 had nothing to do with it. That’s just not the kind of numbers you can bounce back from.
But if Rep. Vic Snyder wants to lie to us and himself and call it “family concerns” instead of “quit before the voters fire me,” we’ll play along…
When Scott Brown wins the Senate seat formerly held by the now deceased Sen. Ted Kennedy (NOT “Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat”) in Massachusetts (without the extra ‘e’, Martha), look for even more Democrats to jump ship as they realize exactly how toxic health care reform is and how pissed off Americans are.
Vic Snyder’s seat puts the GOP one seat closer to regaining control of the House.
