It has been nearly two years since the historic District of Columbia vs. Heller case, in which the core holding was that the Second Amendment is an individual right directly linked to the natural right of self defense.
It’s just about time for Americans to THROW THEM ALL OUT and start over with a clean slate and one new amendment to our Constitution: term limits.

Gonna be a long, emotional day today with two Austin-area Patriot Guard Rider missions to attend. Since they both start at the same time, I’m going to stand the flag line for the beginning of the first funeral service, and then ride over in time to ride in the escort mission from Austin t0 the Central Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery in Killeen for the second mission of the day.
I believe this “event” is nothing more than a photo op, and not intended to be a serious discussion on how to actually improve the availability and delivery of health care. We did not elect you to run for Governor of Texas while you are supposed to be in the Senate. Especially since you are still getting paid (handsomely) for a job you aren’t doing, while interviewing for another job.
A travesty of justice. There’s really no other way of putting it. But the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has thrown out Charles Dean Hood’s death sentence for the 1989 murder of Tracie Lynn Wallace, 26, and Ron Williamson, 40.
