The Usual Suspects on the Left have their collective panties in a twist today over an anti-abortion billboard in Georgia.
The billboard, paid for by the Georgia Right to Life, depicts the image of a black infant with the message, “Black children are an endangered species.”
Which can only mean one thing: RAAACISTS!
Once again, proving that you’re not allowed to cite undisputed facts about negative aspects of black America without being accused of being a racist. But I’m in another camp — the one that think it’s racist NOT to acknowledge that the abortion rate in the black community is a tragic problem.
The tragedy is that for every two black babies born in the United States, one unborn black baby in America is aborted.
The Facts
These are the facts on abortion rates in America. They are not disputed. They are appalling. They are anything but rare. Stop me anytime and let me know which one of these facts is “racist.”
- Nearly half of all pregnancies among American women are unintended, and four in 10 of these are terminated by abortion.
- Twenty-two percent of all pregnancies (excluding miscarriages) end in abortion.
- Thirty-seven percent of abortions occur to black women, yet blacks comprise only 13.5% of the population. In other words, 7% of our nation’s population is having 37% of the abortions.
Rhetorical question to the Lefties: You honestly don’t think this is a problem?
- More black children are aborted than the top seven causes of death for black people nationwide.
- The abortion ratio for black women (472 per 1,000 live births) was 2.9 times higher than the ratio for white women (161 per 1,000). Examined another way, nearly half of all pregnancies among black women end in abortion while just 16 percent of pregnancies among while women end in abortion.
When you consider the homicide rates in black-on-black crimes in America — while blacks comprise 13.5% of the U.S. Population, 43% of all murder victims in 2007 were African American, 93.1% of whom were killed by other African Americans — there is an even larger number of black males a) being killed, and 2) being incarcerated for those crimes. In both cases, black men are almost entirely removing themselves from the gene pool.
Saying that “black children are an endangered species” is not racist. It’s a fact. And it’s a problem that needs more light on the subject and more solutions, not baseless accusations of racism.

And it’s not just Conservatives who are noting this either. Was the Liberal establishment this bent out of shape when Senator Dick Durbin (D-Il) said that, “residents of the District of Columbia have a disproportionately large number of abortions because D.C. is disproportionately African-American.”

Against abortion?
Don’t have one.
Want an abortion? Pay for it yourself, leave my tax dollars out of it.
Your tax dollars will go to welfare to support them. Cheapter to nip it in the bud. BTW I don’t mean because of race, all races have abortions.
This brouhaha over the billboard points out that facts are neutral in and of themselves; it’s the interpretation that causes the heartache. In this case interpretation of the fact that jumps out at me is the fact that black women can’t seem to learn how birth control works. We’ve have reliable, safe, legal, on-demand and inexpensive birth control since 1960. Why haven’t black women gotten the word?
If this weren’t true, then why would the mega abortion center of the world be built near two neighborhoods that are predominately black and two that are predominately hispanic.
Margaret Sanger, and her fellow eugenicists would be proud.
Sterillization should be used for those who would be incompitent parents, that applies to all races.
Who decides?
Was Joe Kennedy a competent parent?
heh..you should see the ‘love’ I get when I point out crime statistics and the same imbalance in figures.
Check out the film: Maafa21 Black Genocide in 21st Century America and see just how the abortion – black genocide PLOT to extermination began. Maafa21 is stunning and eye-opening and will expose abortion for as racist as it is. See a clip here: http://www.maafa21.com
sigh..no thanks Anon..I’ve got better things to do with my time.
Why is it that black women are expected to continue the cycle of poverty, abuse and abandonment by black men? Will we be bullied into having even more children with men who are misogynist, gay, bisexual, incarcerated, uneducated and irresponsible. (Black women continue to have a higher birth rate than white women.) Why are 70% of black households headed by single black women? Why isn’t anyone saying that the leading cause of death for sistas of child bearing age is hiv/aids? Will this increase? Why wasn’t more thought put into this entire approach regarding black womens’ lives and bodies? With everything else that is going on–I just don’t think this is a wise move right now….
“Why is it that black women are expected to continue the cycle of poverty, abuse and abandonment by black men? Will we be bullied into having even more children with men who are misogynist, gay, bisexual, incarcerated, uneducated and irresponsible.”
We as WOMEN have a responsibility to have responsible sex with men that are not our husbands. If you end up pregnant by a man that has any of the above qualities/traits/lifestyle habits then perhaps THERE is the problem.
[...] Control, black women represent 12.5% of American females but they have 38.2% of all abortions. The abortion ratio for black women (472 per 1,000 live births) was 2.9 times higher than the ratio for white women [...]
472 abortions per 1,000 live births is not “nearly half of all pregnancies”. Its 472 to 1000, not 473 out of 1000. 472 abortions and 1000 live births is 1472 pregnancies. That’s 32%, and still doesn’t count miscarriages.
Thanks for the math lesson, Lilzilla. Silly me — you’re right. The African American community doesn’t have an abortion crisis at all (/rolling eyes)
It’s still wrong, no matter what the number above 0 is.
