Vernon Hunter
The family of Mr. Vernon Hunter has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his funeral and interment services this Friday.
Mr. Hunter was killed when a Joe Stack’s plane was deliberately crashed into the Austin IRS office where he worked. Mr. Hunter served for 20 years in the US Army, including two tours in Vietnam.
After the funeral services, Mr. Hunter will be buried at the Central Texas Veteran’s Cemetery outside of Killeen (Ft. Hood area).
It will be an honor to ride with my fellow PGR riders and to stand to honor Mr. Hunter, who has spent nearly his entire life in service to his country. I imagine that the turnout for this one is going to be impressive.

The Austin & Central Texas PGR also has a funeral mission on the same morning for 23-year old SPC. Bobby Pagan, who was killed in action in Afghanistan when his patrol was attacked by a suicide bomber on a motorcycle.
I don’t have the details on the time or location of Spc. Pagan’s funeral and burial, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to attend both.

I’m glad his family invited y’all.
I think you are right, there will be lots of folks attending this service, and deservedly so.
Thank you for your service Mr. Hunter, and may God Bless your grieving family.
