Teachers already aren’t teaching our kids anything 5 days a week, so what’s the harm in them not teaching our kids anything on one fewer day?

Hey, while we’re at it…why don’t we just eliminate an entire year of teaching them nothing…

Of course the teachers unions will demand that their union members be paid the same (or more) for doing less…

The problem with America’s public education system isn’t lack of money. God knows the Liberal answer to EVERY THING wrong with education is the same answer Liberals have for every problem — throw more (of other people’s) money at it. The problem with our education system in this country isn’t the lack of money being thrown at the problem — it is the Liberals who have been running it (into the ground) and the teachers Unions who are stealing our money.

  1. You could say the education system has been politicized to it’s downfall.. It all started with these standardized tests and kept on falling flat with the no kid left behind… When schools get money based on testing there is something seriously wrong with the system IMO.

  2. Does this mean that my property taxes now will get a discount for the day they are not there? if so Im all for it……if not fuck em….I hope they start teaching on Saturdays too.

  3. I work 4 days a week that are 10 hour days. My math still says I put in my 40 hours. I would assume that students would have longer class days on the 4 that they are there to provide the same amount of learning time.

    • Until the Union bosses started demanding overtime pay for all hours over 8 per day. And then the school district is right back where they started with a shortage of money. Besides, 10-hour days are just a bit too much to expect of young children, who have the attention span of hyperactive squirrels.
