When you pander to special interest identity groups, you have to either pay up for their support (as Obama has so graciously done with unions/teachers), or risk their wrath.
Which is where Obama finds himself today.
Congressional Hispanic Caucus Turns on Obama
After promising the moon to Hispanic voters regarding immigration reform and delivering nada, Obama finds his health care reform being held up by the Hispanic Caucus because it doesn’t give Federally funded universally free health care to illegal immigrants.
Jesus H. Christ on a Popsicle — why don’t we just give them subsidized housing, free educations in our public schools, and in-state tuition at our best universities while we’re at it. What? Wait…you mean they already get those things here in the US of A?
WTF?
Congressional Black Caucus Turns on Obama
After promising even more entitlement programs and a “bigger piece of the pie” (which can only be done by taking away some pie from somebody else who has earned their piece of the pie) to African Americans who voted for Obama along strictly racial lines — and finding themselves in the same place (taken for granted) that they find themselves with all Democrat politicians — Obama is now facing opposition from the Congressional Black Caucus.
The problem with lying to everybody in order to get elected, is that eventually some of them are going to wise up to your shell-game and start to call you on it. They’re going to demand their ounce of gold that you promised them during your campaign. And when you can’t (or won’t) pay up, they’ll turn sour on you faster than a $5.99 Indian lunch buffet.
Congressional White Caucus
So far, the Congressional White Caucus has been suspiciously quiet on their support of Obama out of fear of being branded “racists” for opposing anything President Obama says or does.

You’re such an angry little fella. It’s cute!
It’s cute little remarks like that that would get you punched in the pie hole if you dared (you wouldn’t) say it if we happened to be sitting next to each other in a local pub.
This is insanity. Obama is not a very experienced leader. he is taking America over the cliff. Object : your a racist. Say we don’t have the money for this : you have no heart. Maddness !
What about the Congressional Biracial Caucus?
I haven’t heard anything from them.
Let’s not forget the GLAF Congressional Caucus, nor the Corrupt Bureaucrats-who-are-still-employed Caucus, the I-am-smarter-than-the-average-American-citizen Caucus.
sigh..can we nuke DC and start over?
Ugh! That made my stomach turn just thinking about it.
As a member of the Tea Party (of which most are white) I believe we have vocalized our opinion of Obama at several events past and more to come. The a$$hole is a fraud that has done nothing but lie and bribe since he has been in office and should be impeached.
Mr. Range -
You are correct. The tea party is predominately white, undereducated (very few 4 year degrees, some Army schooling) and typically the lower end of the economic scale (which explains their anger of taxes, because, well, they dont make enough money).
I feel for them. It is obvious in their faces and their words that life has not gone their way.
You mean the Tea Partiers are the SEIU and ACORN?
Shocked. SHOCKED I tells ya’!
Playing both sides like that against the middle.
No, they are undereducated, white, and on the low end of the economic scale.
They have a lot of reasons to hate their failed lives, and you can see it in their behavior.
I have been to a few Tea Parties. Now while I am considered undereducated as in I am only a HS grad, I am certainly not anywhere near the lower end of the economic scale. Which is typical for us Tea Party types, self-made upper middle class hard working folks.
A lot of these folks are business owners like myself and we are tired of being taxed to death. Paying close to 50% in federal, state and local taxes is absurd.
Hey BAR.
Anonymous is caught up in liberal caricatures, not reality.
While the majority of libs are quite proud of their degrees in women’s studies and art history, they are ill equipped to understand how the real world works. So they rely on the Carvilles and Overbites of the world to tell them what to say.
Even if what he wants to believe were true, I would still take a hard working, undereducated, self-reliant and self-made person over some one with a degree that at best qualifies them to be a social worker.
Reeeeeally!??!
Anonymous, YOU can see all that?
So tell me, who will win next years Super Bowl?
If it wasn’t for the “undereducated” and “low end of the economic scale” voters, the Democrats would barely have a demographic at all.
BAR and NO -
It is reality. Simply attacking wealthy elitist liberals doesnt change what the tea party is.
I am not certain why you would be offended, unless you consider yourself a member of the party of failed adult lives.
Not offended at all.
I just find it humorous that you know that to be true, when it is only a caricature by liberals who know their ideas and policies are unacceptable by most Americans.
I have a graduate degree and own my own business, and know a number of people who are over-educated, earn solid six figure incomes and support the Tea Party movement.
What you espouse as reality is only true in liberal opposite world.
BTW, there are no “wealthy elitist liberals,” they are self-anointed elitist.
Gee, anonymous, thank you so much for telling me that my Ivy League degree, Fulbright Scholarship, work on two graduate degrees, and passing the Foreign Service Exam on the first try qualify me as uneducated and at the lower end of the intellectual spectrum. Personally, I consider all of the above absolutely worthless, because there is a huge difference between knowledge and wisdom (i.e. the difference between liberals and conservatives), neither of which you possess. As far as being at the lower end of the economic spectrum, not yet, although we’ll all be there with Dear Leader at the helm. White? Most certainly – and proud of my culture and heritage.

Funny how anon ties education with how much money you make. When as we know it in the meat world it doesn’t always pan-out that way.
(which explains their anger of taxes, because, well, they dont make enough money) – anon
First off, if you don’t make “enough money”, you don’t pay any taxes. Case in point.
