Hat tip to John at Power Line for this outstanding and timely video from film maker Evan Coyne Maloney.

John’s set up:

In his “memory lane” post, Evan observes a transformation in the attitude of the Democrat/media axis to political protest. He even identifies the precise date of the transformation: “[I]t seems that publicly airing your grievances stopped being patriotic right around noon on January 20th, 2009.” How so? “Once President Obama was sworn in, protesting became incitement to violence.”

Evan adds: “One thing’s for sure: If there is such a thing as dangerous rhetoric, then the media is at least one president too late in reporting the story.”

  1. 2010 > 1994

    • I hope you are right. In fact, I expect that you probably are right. But (you guys must be tired of hearing me say this by now), there is a very real danger that, if 2010=1994, then 2012=1996.

In 1993 and 1994, a Democrat-controlled Congress allowed President Clinton to do anything he wanted. And almost everything he did severely ticked off the American people. This resulted in the “Republican Revolution” in 1994.

In 1995 and 1996, a Republican-controlled Congress forced President Clinton to restrain himself. This had numerous benefits for our country, but it also had the effect of preventing Clinton from enraging the American people to the degree that he had during his first two years in office.

By November of ’96, the Republicans had succeeded in undoing enough of the damage caused by the Democrats that conditions had improved considerably, causing enough voters to forget their anger, and allowing Clinton to be re-elected (partly by taking credit for the Republicans’ accomplishments). Ironically, it was the “Republican Revolution” that enabled Clinton’s second term.

If the current mood of the country is any indication, there will be a Republican-controlled Congress starting next year, and we can expect that the President will move toward the center (I believe we may already be seeing signs of this).

Our challenge will be to make sure that people don’t forget the Bad Old Days of 2009 and 2010 when they go to the polls in 2012.

      • Of course we will have to wait and see.
In my opinion, the same thing could never happen with the current president, as it did with Clintoon.
I’ve said this before, Ol Bubba wasn’t a dedicated ideologue, like Øbummer. Bubba didn’t believe his own BS, but could convince many people with it. Øbummer believes his own BS and gets angry and frustrated when others don’t.
If he loses Congress, he will double down with his vitriol, and go total Chicago mob boss on this country. His actions could see him being impeached, if we piss him off badly enough.

President Biden. Now THAT’s a scary thought!

        • Having “Brain Salad Surgery” Biden as president would be bad, but having Piglosi one heart beat away would be even worse.
Back to the main point, this pResident is no Slick Willie. He cannot and will not move to the middle, it defies a life time of training as a Marxist.

  2. A congressional inquiry into his medical records and school records will have him out of office by year 3.

  3. Great post at Gateway Pundit.
