The NY Times: “Social Security to See Payout Exceed Pay-In This Year”

Ruh-rho, Shaggy!

This year, the system will pay out more in benefits than it receives in payroll taxes, an important threshold it was not expected to cross until at least 2016, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Our government is out of money. It’s biggest ponzie scheme is broke. Top that off with the biggest entitlement program in our lifetime…and we are way past the point of “sustainability.”

Time to throw ‘em all out. Now. And start over with our original Constitution.

  1. Sigh..the EEEVILLLEE Bush TRIED to tell the stupid fuckers this a couple years ago, and get them to fix it. No one wanted to hear it or believe anything needed to be done. Now the chicken has come home to roost.

  2. They’ve also started cashing in the IOU’s the fed has issued them over the years because the idiots have spent the so called trust fund. So now we’re borrowing money from China to pay the money we borrowed from social security. Http://bit.ly/dqy9VG

    yeah, we’re screwed.

  3. “This dire state is unsustainable. As such, I ask fellow members of Generation Screwed to join me in taking charge of the despair before us. Let us reconstruct an America that is built on the principles of brotherhood and sisterhood: an understanding that we have a debt to our fellow American. The creation of these monolithic criminal banks and their corporate doppelgangers is entirely the doing of the baby boomers, who supported the Reagans and Clintons that deregulated like mad animals. They took any progressive tendency in this country and demeaned and disparaged it, leaving us with Kennedys, Kerrys, and, at best, Kucinichs. We can do much better.

We, the members of Generation Screwed, have no room for compromise. Our life depends on great progressive victory and it begins with taking the banks head on.”

    • No we need to take on the goddamn government. A gov’t that for the last 40 yrs or so never met a dime it WOULDN’T spend. A Gov’t that wouldn’t understand the concept of Fiscal Responsibily, even if you used words so small a mentally retarded person could grasp it.
It was the Gov’t who told the banks ‘lend money to people who couldn’t afford to buy the rat droppings out of the city sewers’ Who told them to grant home loans to people who couldn’t at the time afford it and to this day probably STILL can’t afford it. Yes the corporations have earned some of the blame. Mostly for not telling the goddamn government to go gargle with broken razor blades.

  4. The original Constitution… in which black people are property and only 3/5ths of a person, legally?
