Considering all that is happening today, here are some links I have read and found interesting.
An article from Milton Friedman in 1996, A Way Out of Soviet-Style Health Care:
In a chapter in his novel “The Cancer Ward” titled “The Old Doctor,” Alexander Solzhenitsyn compares “private medical practice” with “universal, free, public health service” through the words of an elderly physician whose practice predated 1918. . .
Which reminded me of an article from La Russphobe from last year. Russia’s Appalling Soviet Medical Legacy.
Today at National Review Online, Mark Steyn sends his greetings.
“Fraternal greetings to Health Commissar Pelosi! The British National Health Service throws an inaugural ball to mark the dawn of Obamacare.”
At this point I have no idea what the vote count is, or what type of wrangling is going on in Congress, and further, I don’t care. If the Marxist win and pass the Senate bill in the House, and the pResident signs it, the law suits will begin. If the courts rule this socialist power grab is valid, I simply will refuse to comply.
I also strongly believe that the states will not be silent in accepting this rush to socialism.

Can someone explain why most of the seats of the Congressmen and Congresswomen are empty while there is a debate on health care going on? My boss would not sit back and let his staff skip his staff meeting. Stupid me, all those idiots have forgetten who the boss is – WE the people.
Best guess is they are scheming and schmoozing on how else they can shaft us and enrich themselves.
OTH, at least they aren’t playing games on their laptops while pretending to be listening.
I am disappointed, but not surprised, in the action of the House of Representatives this weekend. It is another low point in a chamber led by the most vile, most unethical, and most treasonous Speaker that this Nation has seen. I take solace that my state’s Attorney General will be filing suit on behalf of the State and her citizens.
The sheer arrogance and unmitigated gall of this Administration and Congress has awakened a sleeping giant. Our ancestors came to this Republic to get away from the aristocratic and political elite that ruined their native lands. They fought wars and sacrificed greatly against tyrants who were bent on destroying the last great hope that this Republic offered. They worked hard to build America into the greatest industrial, agricultural and innovative juggernaut that ever graced this Earth.
There is a force that is second to none — that of an angry America tired of being viewed as weak and complacent. History’s graveyard is littered with empires that learned this the hard way, be it the British, the Japanese, the Germans or the Soviets. Soon, the elites in the United States Congress will learn a painful lesson — they work for the citizens, and not the other way around.
The taxpaying, producing citizens of this Republic are not cash cows. They are not racists. They are not wingnuts. They are not cowards. They are, however, tired of being marginalized and taken for granted by a government that has failed in its oath of preserving, protecting and defending the Constitution. They are tired of an elite and the leeches enriching themselves on the backs of the producers. The reaction to those who feel themselves above the law will be swift and decisive. Ask Nicolae Ceau?escu how that worked out for him.
We may lose this battle, a big one to be sure, but it’s a long war and we will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail. I still have hope and optimism for this Republic.
And I will not comply.
Molon labe.
God bless America.
This battle isn’t lost, only a skirmish. It will continue into the courts, the various state legislators and in the coming mid term elections.
The Marxists thought we are weak and compliant, and they are wrong.
Even if this power grab goes into law, the fight will be nasty and long.
This ain’t Sparta.
Well said, Sam.
*stands and applauds shooting his Dan Wesson Stainless Steel 44 mag into the air*
As for Stupak, he wasn’t a Judas, he never intended to vote against this bill.
He said so this past October.
So why was he holding out til the last day to announce?
This could explain why.
I agree. The holdouts were holding out for bigger bribes.
This is no surprise, but info on what their plans are for states like Texas.
So when does the list of these treasonous fucks who voted for this get posted?
Don’t know.
All I know for certain is my ammo inventory.
Ask and ye shall receive the list of traitors! And to no ones surprise, all the traitors are Democrats
It passed. 219-212. Weep for the Future..weep for us all.
Because the proverbial shit just hit the proverbial fan.
Roll call!

Thanks Sean, I tried to post the same link but it didn’t take. Don’t know what happened.
Oh gee. what a shock. Al Green [my supposed representative] voted yes.
I want to see a list of the tards who voted for this.
I posted it last night. Look for my post where I said ‘Roll Call!’ and click the link.
Too bad if you made decks of playing cards for these assholes (like Iraq 2003), you still have 11 of these fucking pieces of shit left over.
This will go down in the record books as Obummer’s Iraq War.
And quite possibly his Waterloo, or as this excellent WSJ op-ed says, his “Pottery Barn” moment.
Good to see Greg Abbott is joining the lawsuit fighting this federal abomination.
