I don’t care about Tiger Woods playing his 3 wood on strange fairways. Or how skanky those strange fairways were, especially in light of how extraordinarily awesome his home course is.
What I do care about is watching Tiger Woods smack that little golf ball around the course (if he can make Phil Mickelson cry while doing so, all the better).
With his announcement that he’ll make his “comeback” at the Masters makes me giggle like a little girl. The only thing better than watching Tiger play golf, is watching Tiger play the majors. His first ever major win was the Masters — I wouldn’t be surprised if his next win was also the Masters. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the ratings for Tiger’s return to the links is one of the highest ever for any sporting event, and easily the highest for any golf tournament.
I’m a big fan of golf — love to play the game and love to watch it. But I haven’t watched more than a few hours of golf since Tiger Woods last played. Tournaments where Tiger does play? I usually DVR the Thursday and Friday matches to watch when I get home from work, and spend all day Saturday and Sunday watching live coverage.
Which is what I’ll be doing during this year’s Masters tournament. I’m curious to see what sponsor logo will be on his bag during the tournament after a lot of his sponsors dumped him. His bag will be on television more than Nancy Grace after another young blond goes missing — which is a fantastic opportunity for a new sponsor to step up.
Hell, I’ll bet Tiger’s wife Elin Nordegren is on TV during cutaways during the Masters more than any other golfer not named Tiger.
What Tiger does on the golf course is amazing, and I love to watch him play the game. I don’t care what he does in his private life — especially when what he is doing is 1) not illegal, and 2) is none of my damned business. I don’t look up to Tiger as a role model — I have enough real heroes that fill that role.

I hope his wife doesn’t lower herself to appearing with him.
I care. He treated his wife horribly and I see no reason to give him a pass on it. And he is the one who made it public.
Never had any interest in the game, and would rather do anything except watch a match on tv.
I don’t respect men that cheat on their wives, while disgracing themselves and their families in the process.
I always thought a lot of Tiger for his unwavering support for our military.
As for his current situation, I do look forward to the season premier of South Park tomorrow night (9p.m.Central), as Tiger will get spoofed(with Cartman standing by his side).
