Why, if I ever get the chance to meet Obama and shake his hand, I’d probably spit on him instead:

The many nations helping Haiti recover from the devastating earthquake that struck there have set up their own military compounds and fly their flags at the entrances.

France’s tricolor, Britain’s Union Jack and even Croatia’s coat of arms flap in the breeze.

But the country whose contributions dwarf the rest of the world’s — the United States — has no flag at its main installation near the Port-au-Prince airport.

The lack of the Stars and Stripes does not sit well with some veterans and servicemembers who say the U.S. government should be proud to fly the flag in Haiti, given the amount of money and manpower the U.S. is donating to help the country recover from the Jan. 12 quake.

The Obama administration says flying the flag could give Haiti the wrong idea.

“We are not here as an occupation force, but as an international partner committed to supporting the government of Haiti on the road to recovery,” the U.S. government’s Haiti Joint Information Center said in response to a query about the flag…

And this is just one more reason I won’t vote for President any person who has never served on active duty in the United States military.

But with Obama it’s more than simply his unfamiliarity with the military. It’s that he despises them and what they do. And, in this instance, it’s just another example of how little he thinks of America (as it is — though he has grand plans to change our great Nation [into something less great]).

I think part of the reason Obama loathes the men and women who serve so bravely is because he knows that they are his betters, and that he could never walk in their shoes. And just knowing that makes him feel weak and inferior (which he is).

Uncle Jimbo is one of those brave American warriors (retired) who is a better man and a better American than Obama, and he doesn’t hold back:

Shut your cake hole you pitiful little drone. The very idea that the US flag represents an occupying force is offensive. I am truly glad for your sake that you are hidden in an air-conditioned room somewhere while real Americans are out saving lives. The US flag is a beacon of freedom everywhere on Earth and always has been. We have freed more oppressed people, destroyed more tyrants and done more humanitarian work than any other country in history. If the Haitians are offended by our flag, then we can take it and all the rest of the tens of millions of dollars worth of aid and assistance right back to the mainland.

I am trying to track these weasels down, I will advise. Can someone w/ AKO access send Buckner’s email address? jimbo AT unclejimbo dot com or in the comments.

Seriously — If Haitians are offended by the US Flag being flown while we’re their bringing them humanitarian aid, food, medical treatment — well, let them fend for themselves. On the otherhand, I don’t believe for a second that the Haitians care one damned bit about our flag flying. Obama is the only one who cares about the US Flag flying.

As one of the commenters at BlackFive noted, “I can’t wait until we have a President again who is not ashamed to be an American.”

Me too.

UPDATE — Uncle Jimbo found that email for Col. Buckner and here’s what he wrote:

Dear COL Buckner,

I assume you are getting a fair amount of email, but it is warranted. I served in 1st SFG(A) and on many disaster relief missions where we always flew a US flag for two reasons. One, we were “showing the flag” to remind the people we were helping who came to their rescue, and two, because we are the US military and proud of it. We are not an NGO pretending to be citizens of Earth, we then and you now represent our country proudly. If the Haitian Prime Minister doesn’t like to see our flag, then fold it up and bring it back here along with the vital aid and assistance it represents.

It is one thing to be aware of diplomatic concerns, it is another completely to allow them to force us to hang our heads.

Yeah…what he said.

What a colossal joke Obama is. It’s no wonder he is so widely despised by the men and women of our Armed Services.

  1. Robbie, I think its going to be harder and harder to stand by your pledge to only vote for veterans. I doubt many former military will be able to park their honor at the door to be a politician in this day and age.

    • I’ll stand by it till the day I day. If you want the power to send our young men and women into combat, you had better have been willing to go yourself at some point in your life. I feel as strongly about that as I do about anything I believe, and I assure you I will never waiver from it.

If there is no candidate who has served, I’ll write one in. But I won’t ever cast a ballot for a non Veteran to be CiC.

  2. Given the opportunity, I would refuse to shake Øbummer’s hand.
    He is beneath my contempt.
He has no honor and is undeserving respect, irrespective of the office he despoils each day.

  3. Obama makes me want to puke.

  4. obama is much worse than a joke. He is a disaster and his misdeeds and crimes will cost America for decades, ala Jimmy Carter.

  5. I hate this limp dick joke of a fucking President. Tecumseh’s curse needs to include this colossal prick.
