I don’t believe that there is a single honest person of integrity at the top levels in the US Government. The people who are Senators and Congressmen have sold out, lied, cheated, and stolen so often to get to that level that they are nothing more than self-serving creatures concerned more with retaining and growing their own personal power than anything else.

That goes for people trying to get their toes into the doors of Congress, too. Yeah…I’m looking right at you Charlie Crist:

Fox News has learned that Charlie Crist has decided and plans to announce that he is running as an Independent for the U.S. Senate. The official announcement is scheduled at 5pm in St. Petersburg, Florida tomorrow.

Crist has said that under no circumstance would he drop out of the race, saying he will do what is best for the voters of Florida. Crist says Republicans in Washington want him to stay in the Republican party but voters in Florida have told him they want him to run as an Independent.

Crist cares about one thing and one thing only: more power.

And he’ll do anything, say anything, and go back on every single fingers-crossed-behind-the-back promise he ever told to become a US Senator. And since there was no way in hell he was going to win as a Republican (whose values and concerns he so deeply held right up to the point where he didn’t), he decided he’d just jump ship instead.

Ace summarizes my bottom line feeling on this succinctly: “Oh, and great work John Cornyn. You’re a real savvy talent scout.

Which is only one more reason why I’ll never cast a ballot for John Cornyn again.

  1. I agree Crist is only in this for himself.
So does Mark Levin, in his own inimitable way.
Looking at the Rasmussen Poll, it’s difficult to say if he hurts Rubio more than the donk Meeks, as most view him as a moderate, but it clearly gives him a better chance to advance his political future than competing directly with Rubio.
As for our Senator’s, we have to wait for 2012 to replace KBH with Michael Williams, and for 2014 we have an excellent candidate waiting in the wings to replace Cornyn, Ted Cruz.

  2. ” Michael Williams and Ted Cruz – two former lawyers turned career politicians.

Yeah, I bet they will shake things up.”
    …………………………………………………………….

I bet if these guys were liberal candidates and a conservative said this you would be screaming racism right now.

  3. Crist deserves to lose miserably – Indie or not.

  4. Funny. Crist is communicating with the turncoat Jew Rham Emmanuel. Like He’s really going to help his chances of winning.

  5. I’M A RACIST

    Nope, just an idiot!

Now go ahead and post some more to prove me correct!

  6. I stand by that statement, and amend it to say that our country would be better off if more Liberals had real world experience (academia does not count) and military service.

  7. If more people had real world experience or military service, fewer of them would be liberals.

  8. Military doesnt really matter to me. I understand it does for you, and that is great.

Most people from my high school joined the military due to poor grades or not enough money to go to college. I have not heard one who went in because they had a desire to serve.

I want the President to have private sector experience and that is all.

  9. That’s why you wrote in Michael “Picknose Control Freak” Bloomberg for President?
    ROTFLMFAO!
    Idiot.

  10. Yes. He is an entrepreneur who takes a stance issue by issue.

Keep contradicting your views and cheering for Silly Sarah and her career political aspirations.

Dont forget about her union joining husband.

    Idiot gramps.

  11. You’re a lot dumber than you look.

I’d take the wisdom of a life lived long and well over the ignorance of a kid who thinks he knows everything but has seen and done nothing.

Typical Liberal — plenty of book learn’n, but no real life experiences.

    Sad, really.

  12. You and rational in the same vicinity is absurd.
