THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOL’S JOKE. I just wish it were…for the sake of our country.

While watching this video, several of my IQ points ran out of my ear and punched me in the face:

I’m sorry — but WTF?

During a House Armed Services Committee hearing Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) was questioning Admiral Robert F. Willard of the United States Pacific Command about the Navy’s proposed relocation of 8,000 service personnel and their families to the Island of Guam.

Hank was worried — nay, fearful — that the tiny Island might not be able to support (literally) the influx of people to the tiny island. “My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize.”

You know…because islands, just like boats and dead bodies in the bayou, are just floating around out there at the mercy of waves and gravity and other sciencey stuff that is too difficult to describe (kind of like the length and width of an island).

I don’t know a thing about Adm. Willard, but I can only imagine the amount of hard work, depth of education, and experience it takes to reach the rank of Admiral. Evidently it’s not the case to become a Congressman (in case you’re wondering, Rep. Johnson took over the seat once held by Mensa-member Cynthia McKinney.)

The fact that an Admiral, a fucking FOUR STAR is forced to sit there and waste his extremely valuable time by enduring the moronic questions of a certifiable idiot, makes this literally sickening to watch.

To his impressive professional and military response, the Admiral deserves a medal: “We don’t anticipate that happening.”

You just know the Admiral could have responded with something like, “Not to worry, sir, we have instructed the Sailors and Marines not to all run to the same side of the island at once.”

Though it was nice of the Admiral to sit in for the US Marine Corps, whose base was being discussed. I don’t think a  USMC general officer could have kept from going full “WTF? mode” after that flip over and sink thing.

You know with wizards like this, it’s not surprising that the concept of “as taxes go up the economy goes down” is beyond their grasp.

Just comfort yourself with knowing that this man is making health care decisions on your behalf now.

It does make you wonder: what else is Rep. Johnson fearful of?

____________

Yes, I am fully aware that Hank Johnson is black. And that his ascension to Congress is further proof of the reckless failures of affirmative action.  And yes, I acknowledge that any criticism of this moron is racist. You know…because he’s black.

On the bright side, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) just breathed a sigh of relief knowing that she was no longer the dumbest person in Congress.

  1. You know…the more I think about this story…the more I believe that the people in this GA district need to have their voting rights rescinded.

First Cynthia McKinney, then Hank Johnson.

Was there not an impeached Federal judge they could have elected instead…

    • May not be an April Fools joke but what an ass. As I was reading the story I was picturing a bunch of Marines running back and forth to each side of this island to get it tipping.

  2. Thank you for your colorful post about this, Robbie. I needed a good laugh while appalled at Johnson’s stupidity.
That Admiral had to be, among other things, laughing his ass off on the inside.
Speaks to his integrity that he took the high road when he could have had Sooo much fun with a different response.

    • His the Amial could have told Rep Jonson that we have the island firmly secured with anchors so that does not happen. I can’t beleive Congress has people in in that are dumber then a box of shit.

  3. from Wikipedia:
“Johnson graduated from Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University) in 1976, was a member of Omega Psi Phi Kappa Alpha Alpha Chapter, Decatur, GA, and Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston in 1979; he practiced law in Decatur, Georgia for more than 25 years.”

So this guy made it all the way thru law school and never knew that Islands just dont tip over?

    • It’s thanks to Liberal academia and their paradigm of social promotion.

    • You barely have to be breathing to graduate from the Thurgood Marshall Law School. It is literally the lowest rated Law School IN THE WORLD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  4. When reading Rep. Johnson’s comments, keep the words of comedian Ron White in your mind: “you can’t fix stupid”!

  5. I’ll bet you a dollar the idiot gets re-elected.

  6. Admiral Willard is also the same guy that Tom Cruise flipped off in the infamous MiG scene in “Top Gun.”

  7. What a tribute to gerrymandering congressional districts.

  8. Oh…My God.
I just now watched that video. Johnson acts like he’s on a downer or something. I wanted to goose him to get him to talk faster.

  9. There’s a story on neoneocon.com that these two guys know each other from Top Gun (the Representative also had a bit part) and the Guam tipping over thing is a running joke they have. Don’t know if that’s true, but I’d sure like to think so.

    • I read the story on neo-neocon – if it were true then Johnson could have said so on his website. Or maybe he realized how stupid the comment was and was looking for cover.

    • I read the same thing Chris, and it sounded plausible enough.

Until Rep. Johnson came out with his “metaphor” spin (the metaphor that the rest of us were just too stupid to understand).

Had it been the neo-neocon story about their friendship, that’s what Hank would have lead with.

  10. WHAT A MORON!!!

  11. I think y’all are right. Given that the fool had a life preserver thrown to him and chose to ignore it and try and explain it away tells me he’s really that dumb. Of course he replaced Cynthia McKinney so he’s got big shoes of stupid to fill.
