Do not drink and drive. But if you do, try not to run over a cop and his K-9 dog:
An Austin police officer was involved in a crash with a suspected drunk driver Wednesday morning.
An officer on scene says a driver ran a red light at Riverside and Congress and hit an APD K-9 unit.
Police say the K-9 officer and K-9 were not injured. The officer was checked at the hospital.
The civilian driver was arrested on suspicion of DWI.
Thankfully the officer and his dog are OK. Hopefully this reckless idiot spends a bit of time behind bars. No name yet, but I’ll post it once I find it — no amount of public shaming is enough for asswipes like this.
