Michelle Obama says that Mexico is still “muy bueno” for travel…despite…you know…the out-of-control drug violence, murders, and kidnapping that happen more frequently than Nancy Pelsoi blinks:

On a visit to Mexico, first lady Michelle Obama said today that in despite recent drug-related violence along the U.S. border, Mexico is still a safe country for Americans to travel with their families and said she hopes to bring her daughters south of the border for a visit.

Uh huh, Michelle…completely safe.

Except, unlike the average American tourist traveling to Mexico, you’ll have a small army of heavily armed Secret Service Agents and a large army of Mexican soldiers and Policia protecting her, her children, and her 20-something personal assistants.

If Mee-chelle thinks Mexico is so safe, how about she packs the kids up in the family mini-van without a single Secret Service guy tagging along, and drive down to Laredo, TX. Oh, and don’t let the Mexican government know that you’re coming either. Just pretend you’re average American tourists. Now, park your mini-van on the US side of the Rio Grande River, and walk across the border to Nuevo Laredo.

Walk around a while. Do a little shopping.

And then come back and tell us how “safe” Mexico is.

Idiot.

I live just a few hours drive from the Mexican border…and unless something major and drastic happens, I don’t have any plans to ever drive down to that border again. Mexico might as well be in China for all the likelihood of me ever visiting there again.

  1. Well Cozumel is pretty safe. I managed to get drunk, lose my party and hitch a ride back to the cruise ship with some locals. Ole!!

  2. I haven’t been to Mexico in quite a while. San Antonio just never appealed to me.

  3. MyBelle is as big a liar as her pResident hubby.
She should read Forbes some time.
Mexico: drug violence has killed 22,700 since 2006.

  4. Bad Wookie.

    • LMFAO!!! I got excited when I saw something about Michelle Obama cuz i knew SAM would show! LOL!!!!!! You crack me up!! Good to see ya bro!!

  5. I’ve always thought we should put about 150 thousand pairs of feet on the ground and steamroller through the entire country myself. Either that..or slag it to the point it’s nothing but a flat radioactive sheet of glass.

  6. Isn’t Mexico sitting on a lot of Oil?

  7. L.A. Guy-
ayup, Canada too. I looked up the figures. interesting factoid. all our ‘Dependence’ on Saudi Arabian Oil? It’s a crock of crap. We get more oil from Canada alone, than we do from SA and Venzuela combined.

    • furthermore… you’re worried about shutting off the mexican spigot? Perish the thought. go in afterwords, break up the glass and sell it to our good friends the french. Then go back to pumping crude.

      • Well the reason I ask is that I thought I had heard that Mexico has a lot of Oil. Shouldn’t they be doing something with that so they are not so willing to move here? They could use that to better themselves and WANT to stay there. ORRR, if not, I hear they have WOMD! I read that somewhere. I wrote it down and then I read it. So it must be true and we should go do something about that.

  8. By the way, on your Figures? Wow! No shit? I did not know that. I find that odd. SA and Oil always seem to be the first thing you think of. Who considers Canada. You know, I think they have WOMD too! I say we take them out!

    • Sean is right, we get most of our imported oil from Canada, then Mexico, but we could be completely independent from all foreign sources if we wanted.
What has always amazed me is, on 14 Sep 1847 our Army was standing in Mexico City. Instead of annexing it and saving us and them a whole lot of grief, we offered the Treaty of Guadeloupe-Hidalgo. For the first time in our nation’s history, the anti-war movement had an effect, led by people like Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry Thoreau. They would have the ears of the policy makers wives at tea room poetry readings, and spread their weepy, touchy-feely tripe about us being a big bully on those poor little brown people.
      …doomed to repeat it.

    • As for them having WOMD, not for me they don’t.
The woman of my dreams is caucasian.

    • on the figures…yep, no shit.

  9. If you have something that you might find an interesting read, I’d love to see it. That is such bullshit to be led around by the nose like that. Spoon fed bullshit by the media and government really pisses me off. It’s no different then the propaganda being fed by middle eastern countries governments to their citizens that make them hate us.
