Mexico’s government has issued a “travel alert,” advising it’s citizens to avoid traveling to Arizona because of their new (and totally awesome) immigration enforcement laws (meaning: the laws will be enforced):

Mexico’s government is warning its citizens about travel to Arizona because of a tough new immigration law there.

The travel alert from the Foreign Relations Department urges Mexicans in Arizona to “act with prudence and respect the framework of local laws.

It says that the law’s passage shows “an adverse political atmosphere for migrant communities and for all Mexican visitors.”

The bolded part is total bull shit, as one of the “local laws” is “don’t enter our country illegally.” And Mexico has not only not respected that law, but has actively aided and persuaded it’s citizens to invade ours. Maybe the Mexican government can start by quit handing out laminated, free maps of the best routes to get into our country (I’m just saying…).

Of course, if the Mexican government had been doing their jobs and working to improve the impoverished lives of their citizens, then they wouldn’t be fleeing to the United States by the railcar- and car trunk-load.

Now, if only we could get the Mexican government to issue another “travel alert,” advising it’s citizens to not travel to Texas illegally — that would be AWESOME!

  1. And our response: Don’t go to Mexico unless you want your head chopped off by ruthless gangs who run amok while corrupt police and politicians do nothing to protect their own people.

    • The UT System told all its faculty, staff, and students in Mexico to GTHO due to all the CRAP going on down there.

    Hey we can hope.

    • You can hope but with the HOPE and CHANGE Obummer in office its not likely going to happen

  4. With nearly 23,000 murders in Mexico since the start of 2007, the Mexican government should be issuing travel alerts to anyone wishing to go to their country.
After hearing all of the gnashing of teeth and moaning from the usual suspects, I found it funny that the movie Man On Fire was on last night.

  5. From the KLBJ 590 local news page:

Auto thieves targeted trucks for smuggling of illegal aliens

Bastrop county officials shut down a major auto theft and smuggling operation. Members of the Austin’s auto theft task force are saying that stolen trucks in Austin and surrounding areas are being used in an immigrant smuggling operation. After shutting down a major immigrant depot in Bastrop County, officials there discovered 8 stolen Ford pick up trucks, 7 from Austin and one from Round Rock. The trucks were F 150’s, 250s and 350’s. Sheriff Pickering says, about 30 illegal immigrants were taking into custody and are awaiting deportation. But the ones behind the operation are still on the lose.

  6. [...] State of California. Add to that the Mexican government’s hysterical and ironic “travel alert,” advising it’s citizens not to go to Arizona, and I’d say the law is working [...]

  7. I wish they would do that here in Texas…but Perry said no. Bummer.
