There’s just no accounting for stupid:

An Etowah County woman is free on bond after Sheriff’s Deputies say she accidentally set herself on fire trying to get revenge on a repo woman.

It happened on May 2nd on Carlisle Cut-Off Road in the Mountainboro community.

According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, 26 year old Haleigh Boland of Boaz was arrested on May 18th and charged with 1st degree criminal mischief. The Sheriff says Boland’s car was repossessed earlier this month, and she tracked down the repo woman with the intent of setting her car on fire. Little did she know that the repo woman had a surveillance camera set up on the property.

Women sets herself on fire in attack on car

So…this woman fails to make the payments on her car, and decides to take that out on the personal property of the repo woman — who was just doing her job.

It reminds me of the POS’s who don’t pay their mortgage, get foreclosed on, and then trash the house before they move out. Whatever happened to taking responsibility for your own actions?

Sometimes in life, you get exactly what you deserve.

Reckless Robber Dies in Shootout

FORT BEND COUNTY, TEXAS (KXAN) – A man known as the “Reckless Robber” has been identified after he was killed in a shootout with Fort Bend County sheriff’s deputies on May 22.

The “Reckless Robber”, now identified as Mouafak Kazzaz of Katy, was behind a rash of bank robberies throughout Texas since November of 2008. He is linked to two bank robberies in Austin, eight in the Houston-area and eight in Dallas and San Antonio. The FBI was actively searching for him.

According to the Houston Chronicle , Kazzaz’s crime spree came to an end last week after Fort Bend County sheriff’s deputies spotted a van matching the description of a vehicle used earlier that day in a nearby bank robbery. Deputies ordered the van to pull over. This is when the van doors flew open and Kazzaz began shooting at the deputy with an automatic rifle. Kazzaz led police in a running shootout that lasted about 20 minutes. The chase came to an end when the van crashed through a fence. This is when, according to the Chronicle, Kazzaz was fatally shot by a deputy.

There are conflicting reports on how he died. KPRC received information from the Fort Bend County Sheriff, Milton Wright, that Kazzaz shot himself.

Over 100 shots were fired throughout the shootout. A sheriff’s deputy had a bullet graze his head, making contact with his skull. Another deputy was shot and had surgery. Her injuries are non-life threatening.

  1. Well, she she did everything to set herself on fire but it looked more like gloves were burning. There was no screaming and only her hands and maybe shoes for a shorttime were lit up.

  2. I have a much better understanding, now, as to why her car was repossessed.
I imagine her application at NASA is still on file. In the bottom file, near the back.

  3. I hope that hurt… What an idiot.

  4. Sure would like to see the arrest/medical report on her.

  5. What an idiot…can you believe people like this live among us?
    Sheesh!

  6. “Fiiirrre. got me burnin got me burnin yeah” YEAh..I know..I’ve got a warped sense of humor

    • I fell into a burnin’ ring of fire.
I went down, down, down, and the flames went higher.
And it burns, burns, burns, that ring of fire, that ring of fire.

      lol
