Our Great Dane puppy (even though he’s already a bit over 160 lbs, Jersey is still just 16 months old) is an odd dog. In a lot of ways.

One of which is his obsession with drinking out of the water hose. Doesn’t matter how much pressure it’s set to (in fact, the more pressure, the more he seems to enjoy it), he’s going to stick his face in there and try to lap it up:

Jersey drinking water

Attacking the water like it's a wild rabbit

If you spray the water over his head, he’ll jump up to 6′ in the air to “bite” at the water stream. And he doesn’t just drink ’till he’s full — he’ll attack that water stream as long as you’re spraying it.

Ends up soaked every time:

Jersey splash in the face

Weird-ass dog

  1. Sometimes water needs to get bit.

  2. LOL! Great picture!

  3. This dog ROCKS!!!! I love Great Danes.

  4. LOL..my 2yr old Golden is the same way you know. she, like your boy there..is just a weird dog. wouldn’t have it any other way though

  5. I think he does it because:

    It feels good.
    It’s not an everyday occurrence
    He finds it humorous.

I really believe that dogs have senses of humor and will do things to make you and them laugh.

  6. WIERD BUT VERY LOVEABLE…. A DOG WITH CHARACTER, JUST LIKE YOU ROBBIE!

OH GIVE ANGUS A PAT ON THE HEAD FOR ME!
