We should not be paying for the education, health care, and other entitlement programs for those who are in this country illegally. I don’t know what is so hard to understand about that.

At least the fine folks of Williamson County, TX (the county just north of Austin’s Travis County) get it:

Williamson County commissioners have decided to stop paying health care costs for indigent adults and children who don’t have valid Social Security cards.

County Judge Dan A. Gattis said last week that he wanted to ensure that there was enough money for the residents of Williamson County who qualified for indigent care to remain covered. In the first five months of the current fiscal year, 265 people who didn’t have Social Security cards received county-paid health care out of a total of 1,153 indigent patients , said Bride Roberts , the coordinator for Williamson County’s indigent health care system.

The decision — which came in a unanimous vote on April 27 — was not based on race, Gattis said.

“We are running out of money,” he said.

Cities and counties have a limited number of dollars allocated for indigent health care costs — we can’t allow for those dollars to continue to be sucked dry by illegal immigrants.

Looks like it’s time for the illegal aliens and their enablers to stage another grievance march…maybe they can get Travis County’s brain dead (and 100% Liberal) City Council to “sanction” Williamson County.

  1. Good for them. We pay taxes to pay for services that are then denied us because they are overwhelmed by illegals.

  2. Illegal immigrants are a severe drain on our resources and the care and safety of our legal citizens.
Tucson is a city of over 750,000(that we know of) and it has one Level One Trauma Center, due to the burden of providing care to illegal immigrants because of our schtoopid federal laws.
Here is a lengthy article that describes how bad it already is in some places and could be coming to your own neighborhood.

  3. Years ago, in the local fishwrap Sunday magaziene there was a long article on the crises in the ERs – how they were being shut down because they couldn’t afford to keep them open, how the wait was many hours, how they couldn’t get specialists to take call because they didn’t get paid, etc. They even talked about how a man came in on a Friday night who fell off a horse and broke his leg. The guy was fully insured but needed an orthopedic vascular surgeon – a real specialist. The one they tried to call in was busy with another case. So, the guy had to wait until Monday to be seen and have surgery.

And in all this moaning and groaning about how bad things had gotten, not one mention of how illegal aliens had flooded the ERs and were the primary cause of this problem.

  4. I can only hope that the illegals, spurred on by groups like LaRaza, LULAC and MALDF, continue to take to the streets, waving their flags of Mexico, the red flag of Communism and wearing their Che’ t-shirts.

That tactic worked so well for them during the Shamnesty Bill debates, didn’t it? All their protesting, and demanding rights be given by a nation they have no legal right to be in, caused so much sympathy toward them that taxpaying Americans shut the Congression switch board down in protest over Shamnesty.

Once again, they, themselves, are bringing the travesty that is illegal immigration to the forefront of our political debate. They, once again, are drawing attention to themselves, and once again, it will backfire on them as Americans start holding their cities and states responsible for the taxes we are paying to support these criminals. And yes, anyone who enters this nation illegally, is a criminal.

So protest away, Mexicanos. It proves your arrogance, your lack of respect for the nation you snuck into and it will continue to anger taxpaying Americans who think you should shut the hell up. And while counties are having a hard time paying the bills in an economy that is not going to get much better in the near future, other places much like Williamson County, will start looking at how much you cost them and they will retaliate in ways you don’t like.]

So please, continue your protests. And don’t forget the flags.

    • I am forced to wonder if the Dems are going to try to force an amnesty bill through before November, in the hopes that the new Democratic voters will allow them to keep control of Congress.

Even if they do, I don’t think it would work, because even though almost all the former illegal immigrants would be Democrats, not enough of them would vote this year to make a difference.

But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t at least a little bit concerned.

  5. This is unacceptable:
    http://jammiewearingfool.blogspot.com/2010/05/great-news-huge-mosque-going-up-near.html

I can’t believe that the jackasses approved it. I wonder if it can still be stopped. They can call me anything they want cuz I’ll call them pigfuckermurderers and pigfuckermurderer fluffers.

    • I was reading about that the other day.
Between that and the crescent shaped memorial for flight 93, I am almost numb from being outraged at the dhimmitude displayed by some in this country. Muslims reprsent less than 1% of our population, but that will certainly change if we allow things like this to happen.

    • Stupid.
      Stupid.
      Just plain stupid.

      And highly offensive.

      -Sad

    • Outraged to say the least…How bout I go build a Ridiculously HUGE church over the pond where these tards live and see how they like it and tell them we are trying to “integrate” East with West…they’d blow the crap out of it before construction ever got started…using their kids…

  6. Other states planning similar legislation to Arizona’s:
Georgia, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Maryland, North Carolina, Texas, Missouri, Nebraska and Idaho.
This removes any doubt that Arizona was misguided. This affirms not only how correct they were, but that they have become a trend setter.

  7. I don’t get it. Having a social security card does not prove citizenship. Legal resident aliens have them too.
What about providing a birth certificate or other documentation that proves citizenship?

  8. A video report on one of the many good reasons to close the border.

  9. As you said, this is America.

So, let them put it to a vote and let all New Yorkers decided instead of a handful of leftist Obama fluffers, like you.

  10. Such a dumb little leftie troll.

  11. ^

    And such an dumbass liberal.
You might want to see where your brains fell out – they might still be at the side of the road.

  12. Since, local, state, and federal gov. and academia are invested in illegal immigration, it’s hard to find the stats. However, there seems to be a lot more data published on the internet now.

These estimates of the costs don’t include those benefits illegal aliens are obtaining fraudulently. It also doesn’t cover the costs of those illegal aliens who have children born here and are thus citizens but we are stuck with paying for.

The stats don’t cover the cost of quality of life issues, i.e., the strain on the infrastructure (That’s why day with out an illegal alien is so great – no traffic jams, plenty of parking, sidewalks uncrowded). When you have 25 people packed into a 2 bedroom house, it lessens the quality of life for the neighborhood. It doesn’t include the cost of having to send your kid to private school because most of the students speak spanish or you don’t what your kid taught by mecha creeps. How do you put a cost on the peace of mind one loses when they are a victim of a crime committed by an illegal alien?

  13. No, it only attempts to hide the real costs. Factcheck is not some unbiased organization. Any time I have factchecked Factcheck, I have found them biased.

Unless you check their assertions yourself, you can’t say they are accurate. Factcheck has been biased in the past and they are biased now.

I don’t have the time or interest to fisk them but I have done so in the past. They are full of crap. But two things:

They go out of the way to point out any conservative affiliation but only mention one organization as being liberal and in passing.

Note that they never give a figure that they claim is accurate except for 1992 and 1993. They just say the impact is modest and I say they are definitely full of shit.

  14. The whole “factcheck is full of shit and biased” makes me laugh every time. Check these two articles and let me know which way it is biased -

    Obama, Ayers, Annenburg & FactCheck.org – http://deathby1000papercuts.com/2008/10/obama-bill-ayers-and-factcheckorg-all-have-ties-to-annenberg-foundation/

Factcheck Run by Conservative Philanthropist Annenberg Foundation – http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1086271/factcheck_run_by_conservative_philanthropist.html?singlepage=true&cat=75

You should research before you, good sir, are considered “full of shit.”

  15. Dumbass:

Unlike you I don’t prejudge a study *solely* by the alleged political affiliation of the organization who funded it.

Instead, I read their study/report, check their sources for accuracy, check for omissions, read opposing views, and factor in if they have been less than honest in the past on other studies.

You do realize, asshole, that Walter Annenberg was the conservative and he has been dead for many years. And I don’t automatically agree with a position just because a conservative supported it. A number of Republican pols support, or have supported, illegal immigration.

I have seen the Annenberg Foundation sponsor numerous programs that I thought sucked. I don’t know who is on their board. But that doesn’t matter so much if at all because I have no say in who they give grants to. I do have a say in judging what their grantees produce. And if it sucks, it sucks, judged by the factors I already mentioned.

Now, piss off, shithead. Maybe if you did less drugs you would not have such poor critical thinking skills.

  16. So, so angry.

  17. Jackass: You are the one who flamed out at me because I questioned some lame article you linked. Seek anger management classes now!

  18. You think I am angry because I laughed at your sheep type reply of “FactCheck is bias”??

Why is it that a GOP/Conservative/PartyOfBorrowAndSpend/Whatevertheyarecallednow has to attempt to shout someone down in a discussion?

This is why the GOP/Conservative/PartyOfBorrowAndSpend/Whatevertheyarecallednow is stereotyped as angry.

  19. Based on your initial angry response which led to you having your ass handed to you — yes.

  20. No, you are making things up. The posts are therefore everyone to read. And you belong to the party that’s hellbent on running this country into the ground. And talk about borrow and spend? A trillion here, a trilion there, don’t matter to old barry and sanfran nan.

  21. Better yet, read it yourself.

  22. Yes, you are typical.

  23. Oh, that was you…figures. Asshole.

You threw out the first insult and whined when you got it back, hypocrite.

  24. You mean like construction? They flooded the market and drove down wages.

And how about dry walling? That was traditionally a job held by blacks. But the illegal aliens flooded that market and again drove down wages.

And they want drivers licenses for illegal aliens so they can get car insurance and get delivery jobs, flood that market and drive wages down.

But, don’t worry, your job as leftard troll appears to be safe.

  25. Whoops. I think I might have misinterpreted your comment. If so, I apologize. If not, well, the fuck you still stands. :)

  26. Look, this is a thread about the cost of illegal immigration – not your belief that you have the right to get high. Don’t hijack the thread.

  27. Precisely, which is why it is interested that no single number has been agreed upon.

My right to get high? I am concerned what COSTS the most. I guess you missed when I mentioned the cost center failure known as the Iraq War.

However, it does seem this law was not put in place to reduce costs.

  28. Oh, give it up, Leftard! You are fooling no one.

  29. Give up spaming this blog. Hijacking threads. Acting like a kid. To just name a few….
