Yesterday after Sen. Robert Byrd passed away, Forbes CEO Steve Forbes Twittered the following:
Any sane person knows that Mr. Forbes isn’t celebrating the death of the former Klansman and longest-ever-serving US Senator, but rather the “good news” is the fact that the Democrats disastrous financial reform bill (well, disastrous to those who make money, but awesome to those that the Democrats want to redistribute their wealth to) has suffered a serious blow.
Of course, the Left-o-sphere isn’t exactly overflowing with sanity, now is it?
- One of the unhinged moonbats at Think Progress, Alex Seitz-Wald, screams from his headline: Steve Forbes celebrates Robert Byrd’s death.
Uh, huh. Except that he did no such think, you reading-comprehension challenged moron.
- One of the too-many-to-count losers over at Wonkette (they’re all dudes now, right?) shrieks: Steve Forbes Craps On Robert Byrd’s Fresh Grave.
- John Ballard at Newshoggers (tag line: where we wallow in the muck of half-truths and distorted realities) cries: Steve Forbes Dances on Senator Byrd’s Grave
The facts are: 1) Robert Byrd is dead, and 2) the Financial reform bill be shoved through by Democrats is bad for America. And defeating the Democrats plundering and demolition of our nation’s economy is more important than the legacy of an old (and now dead) racists and King of Graft.
We’re not celebrating the fact that Byrd has died. But we are and can celebrate the fact that he is no longer in the US Senate stealing money from honest tax paying citizens to line his own pockets and those of his constituents cronies. It might be subtle difference, but it’s an accurate one. I guess it’s asking a bit too much for the asswipes on the left to understand the difference.

Preemptive screams from the left, acknowledging what a disgrace Byrd was to our representative republic.
While Forbes was rightly celebrating an increase in the hurdle to passing the financial regulation, he did none of the things they blame him for.
Byrdy hasn’t been planted yet, so crapping on his grave or dancing on it can’t have happened yet.
However, if they need to blame someone for crapping in his grave before he is planted and then performing a task that could never be described as passing roses on his resting place, then they can blame me.
wasn’t this the guy that said something about blacks being part of the “darkest element of the jungle” or something like that? and that our society was on its way to ruin if the races were to mix?
and wasn’t this the guy that never apologized for the above comments and spent a lifetime explaining them away and rationalizing his views instead of just saying a humble and repentent “I’m sorry”?
You mean this old foul mouthed terrorist?
