Clyde Middleton at Liberty Pundits points out the Pathetic Headline of the Day from NPR, which makes the utterly-retarded claim of “Why the Far Right Hates Soccer.”

I grew up in a soccer-loving and -playing family — I also played throughtout high school on our varsity team, and often thought that if it had not been for soccer and my love of the sport, that I might have dropped-out of high school without it.

This is stupid beyond all get out.  Can the fools at The Nation and NPR find a “far right” conspiracy under every rock.

Of course, Clyde goes on to argue that soccer sucks for a variety of other reasons…of which I obviously disagree. But he’s right — it has nothing to do with political ideology.

But in case it does, then Michael Walsh at Big Journalism has a great counter-post titled, Why the Far Left Hates Baseball. Which is pretty funny reply.

UPDATE: Here’s a quick recap of the entire game, acted out be Lego people, in case you missed the game.

  1. It’s not that I’m RACISSSSTS, it’s because it’s SOOOOO BOOOORRRIING to watch! I did however watch the South Korean (Be the Reds!) team beat Greece, because I have an affinity to Korea and the Korean people and I suffered through the USA and England match and well I’m glad they tied England being such a close ally and all but I just can’t get behind the hoopla.

    • I think it can be boring too (I love American football)..didn’t stop me from cheering my daughter on though when she played in school :-) ..but funny thing though..we were in Best Buy this weekend and I was joking watching it on one of the t.v.s for a second..I was saying..”Aaaand here they come! Aaaand there they go…”
But then suddenly that’s right when the USA scored!
I laughed that the one moment we were watching, we actually saw a score..hahaha!
I heard they had a draw in the end..but it was funny to see the guy let the ball roll right through his hands…LOL..

  2. I never cared for kick ball.
But those on the right definitely don’t hate the game, in all the affluent suburbs I know of, with staunch conservative parents, youth soccer leagues flourish.
I haven’t clicked on the link, it is NPR after all, so I can only surmise he means we hate World Cup Kick Ball.
Yeah, I really hate that shiite, it’s the one time some yahoo from some third world shit hole can try and claim some fragment of national pride.
Years ago, when some of the World Cup crap was here in Dallas, Nigeria was playing Germany. An old friend of mine, a huge German guy, got into a confrontation with some Nigerians in a parking lot. He had them so mad they were jumping up and down, ready to riot. He calmly told them he thought all people from Africa should be allowed to come to the U.S. without visas or passports, as long as they came here on airplanes or ships built there.
They all looked at each other in puzzlement. He then delivered the punchline…“there are no master craft builders in Africa!”
They quietly dispersed, staggering a little with the total skull f**king he had given them.
    Germany won.

  3. If the right-wing is considered war-mongers and the left are considered pacifists…..and

I know soccer is a rough sport so………..

  4. The left is retarded. always has been.

  5. I am not sure who is more pathetic – NPR, Newsbusters, or No2.

I will tell you what is the most pathetic….fakes, frauds and liars who continue to post under every name under the sun, even when they have been proven to be a fake, a fraud and a liar.

    • I deleted the troll’s post that you were replying to.

      • Robbie,

No problem…I am glad you did. I do not have a lot of tolerance for fakes, frauds and liars. His posts lately have been getting weirder and more irrational. IMO the guy needs major psychological help!
