Obama's favorite pet blogger

Over at Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller, Jonathan Strong has somehow gotten his hands on a boat-load of email threads from Ezra Klein’s now-defunct (allegedly) Journolist — a list where Left-wing journalists (are there any other kind?), policy makers, academics, and other trained circus monkeys could collaborate on the best way to spin the day’s news while pushing their progressive agendas. All under the guise of “objective” and “unbiased” ethical journalism, mind you.

For some dumb reason these 400-or-so Journolisters believed that their electronic paper trail was “private” and “secure.” And thus they were free to drop their mask of “objectivity” and professionalism and let their true colors fly.

And fly they did.

So far we have Journolisters colluding to bury the Jeremiah Wright/Obama story so as not to hurt their boy’s chances of being elected President. Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his Journolister jerk-off buddies to change the subject by smearing Conservatives. Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”

But that’s not all. In addition to high-jacking their companies’ and employers’ agenda and credibility in order to push their progressive agenda to bury an important story about WHY Obama spent 20 years in that racist, anti-American church, they also:

Cheered and wet themselves — some turning into piles of sobbing jello (by their own admission) — when Obama won the election. There’s an old axiom of sports reporting that “there’s no cheering in the press box.” Well, it’s supposed to be that way too when your the political beat reporter for a supposedly professional and unbiased media company.

Journolister Eric Alterman, who wrote What Liberal Media?, which is Alterman’s refutation of widely flung charges of left-wing bias responed on election night, “Fucking NASCAR retards…”

To answer the question posed by your book title, Mr. Alterman — THAT FUCKING MEDIA LIBERAL FUCKING BIAS, you fetid stream of douchejuice.

If I ever meet Mr. Alterman, I’m going to punch him in the balls. Rhetorically speaking, of course.

Let’s see…what else were the circle-jerk boys and girls up to…oh yeah:

Wishing Rush Limbaugh would die a painful death right in front of their eyes, while they laughed maniacally.

Within moments of McCain picking Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mates, the Journolisters went straight to work coordinating the best lines of attack that they and their “objective” and “professional” media outlets could use against Palin and McCain.

What the Daily Caller is revealing in their daily document drop is what we all already knew: the liberal MSM journolisters helped Obama get elected by shaping the narrative to his benefit.

Seriously — I don’t know how you don’t fire every single of these shit stains if you’re an editor and they work for you. Unless you’re their editor and you’re on the Journolist, too. In which case you should be fired, too.

Legacy and MSM journalism is dead — long live the new Political Advocacy Arm of the Democrat party. May they all suffer burning herpes soars.

  1. These people are repulsive and they can’t go out of business quick enough. I haven’t had a television in years. I stopped subscribing to papers over 10 years ago. I stopped buying them from the rack. I will avoid their websites if at all possible.

  2. Politico is already on the attack.

  3. The Volokh Conspiracy has a couple of threads on this.
On the Palin thread, Jim Lundgren asks:

I wonder whether JournoList was behind several brief, but intense, herd political attacks on CNBC personnel that at different times seemed to come out of the blue (on Jim Cramer, Erin Burnett, and Rick Santelli). They each struck me as odd at the time, especially because I suspect that Cramer and Burnett were only a few months past voting for Obama.

Until we get a complete list of these conspirators and/or a collection of their exchanges, we will never know for certain. This serves to discredit all who are lefty journalist, which makes it more likely that those not part of this cabal would sell out the one’s who are in a heart beat.
I hope one of them takes Breitbart up on his $100,000 offer for the total list.

  4. its been this way as long as i can remember. It really came to light when Kramer from Seinfeld went off on a racial “Tirade”. Seriously, how many times have you heard the term tirade in conversation on TV? Almost never until that story. I noticed the EXACT SAME TERM on every news outlet I watched (and read). I knew then and there, these no talent ass clowns were simply spewing somebody else’s words without thought. It really comes as no surprise to me that there was some collousion (sp?) going on.

  5. Fucking A! I’m looking at the comments to Ben Smith’s column and someone posted journolist emails in them. One is by a Kate Steadman who is connected to Kaiser Family Foundation who churn out all those obamacare studies. Here she is having orgasm over the Os election:

“KATE STEADMAN, KAISER HEALTH NEWS: i can’t imagine anything like it except a world series/superbowl win, and several of my co-walkers told me it never gets the entire city so riled. i think what makes it even more amazing is the incredible diversity in this city and how we all came together for this, especially in victory”

    Bitch.

    • She and many others.
People like her don’t care, this will make for good dinner party chatter, as the people she cares about think she was correct in what she was doing.

  6. I didn’t realize this listserv had been revealed 26 Mar 09.
A Cornell Law Prof has recommended Klein release all email exchanges.

  7. It would be great to see a total shakeup in the msm but

the resulting ‘honesty in reporting’ would likely damage

my audio immune system that has been conditioned to

    bullshit for too many years.

  8. Doctor Zero nails it in this piece.

    Whistling Past the JournoList Graveyard.

I don’t think it’s healthy, or desirable, for the public to let itself off the hook so easily. America must fully understand the Obama mistake to ensure it is never repeated. However, I can see why people would prefer to embrace a simpler explanation. There will be a real hunger to find one in the material released by the Daily Caller. That’s one of the big reasons this story isn’t going away any time soon. It has the coarse texture and rotting smell of the very last straw for the unhappy consumers of the mainstream media, and the angry marks of the Obama swindle.

  9. Journolist, Media Conspiracies, and “Japanese Tentacle Porn”

And that’s the real lesson of what we have seen from Journolist: These people are very, very silly. The proper response is not to be afraid of how they might conspire to manipulate media coverage. The proper response is to point at them and laugh.

Well…true, except for the whole conspiracy thing.

  10. Letter from Editor-in-Chief Tucker Carlson.

One final note: Editing this series has been something of a depressing experience for me. I’ve been in journalism my entire adult life, and have often defended it against fellow conservatives who claim the news business is fundamentally corrupt. It’s harder to make that defense now. It will be easier when honest (and, yes, liberal) journalists denounce what happened on Journolist as wrong.
