Paying people not to work (long term) is a stupid, stupid idea. Unless of course you’re trying to develop more Democrat voters who simply want the government to take care of them, rather than taking care of themselves

Now imagine that the Director is actually a black woman, named Shirley Sherrod, and that the poor farmer was a white man, whom she proudly brags about not helping simply because he’s a white man.
This is clearly assault, just as surely as Rep. Bob Etheridge committed an assault against a young college student on a public sidewalk. Which also means that Liberal pundits and bloggers will ignore it, downplay it, or applaud it.
