Spending part of the last day of my 4-day weekend updating my WordPress blogging software from version 2.9.2 to the new major WordPress 3.0 (Thelonious) release. Hopefully all of my plugins and theme are compatible with the new update.
If you experience any wonkiness or something that used to work doesn’t, post a comment here and let me know.

I’m in hijack hell. My antivirus softwars showed something odd but I couldn’t find anything on the files. Plus, the software, I use Sophos, did list it as a threat but just suspicious. Then I got one of those programs that downloads and scans for free! Couldn’t find any info on it. Then I lost my internet connection b/c it changes your proxy. So, I had to figure that out. Thought I was done with it and got all these error messages. It won’t allow you to open any programs. I finally download a spyware program that is suppose to remove it. I run it and when I get to the end it says -give us money first and then we will remove the virus. Well, fuck you.
I have all these dump programs and they don’t do crap nor do they have any info on this virus. It’s “AV Security Suite” that’s causing all the problems. I just lost 8 hours of my life.
Have you tried generating a “hijack this” report for analysis?
Who is that? Would it be Grisoft AVG?

Perhaps calico cats are genetically predisposed to be less aggressive. A former co-worker used to tell stories about her beautiful calico, “Morgan Faircat.” When she would go outside during the Spring and Summer, wild birds would land on her and pluck her soft fur to line their nests — and she tolerated it! That’s a pretty big risk for a bird to take for some nest-liner, but they must have sensed her docility.
I doubt it is because it was a Calico. A friend of mine had a Calico and she was a fierce bird and mouse catcher. He purposely only gave her enough food to stay close to home, but not enough where she would lose her desire to hunt for food.
Some of the finest people I have ever known were cats. Given the proper environment they will accept any animal into their tribe.
I am so limited in what I can do because I am blocked by this virus. I rebooted in safe mode. However, safemode limits what you can do, too. Websites i could look at all had different solutions.
I wish I could be more help.
Maybe if LA Guy showed up, he is a pro.
I downloaded more programs. I have no idea if it is cleaned out or not. The offending programs are called “rogue antivirus programs”
I keep everything up to date. I run them several times a day. When hit with the rogue AV, I closed it the correct way. Still, it got in. And I lost an entire day because of it.

Is it forseeable that someone would get killed? Yes. Therefore, Foster was guilty. Also, dumbass, Foster’s sentence wasn’t commuted for that reason. You would think that if you are going to whack off to these thugs you would at least get their legal histories correct.
