From CNSNews, the United States Attorneys’ Annual Statistical Report for Fiscal Year 2009 shows that the two highest Federal Judicial Districts for filing federal charges, in the entire country, are in Texas.
There are ninety four federal districts. The Southern Texas and Western Texas districts dwarf all other districts with the number of federal crimes charged by U.S. Attorneys.
Not only do these two districts lead the nation, the top five districts for filing charges are on the U.S.-Mexico border.
While Arizona is drawing most of the attention, Texas is fighting a crime wave associated with the ILLEGAL immigration problem that should be receiving much more attention.
Here is the breakdown of the top ten districts and the number of federal crimes being filed last year:
Southern Texas —- 8,801
Western Texas —- 8,435
Southern California —- 5,554
Arizona —- 5,155
New Mexico —- 3,769
Central California —- 2,581
Southern Florida —- 2,514
Southern New York —- 1,959
Middle Florida —- 1,780
Eastern Virginia —- 1,485
I recommend reading the entire article in the above link, but this
paragraph shows how profound the ILLEGAL immigration and drug crime problem truly is:
The report also reveals that of the 81,577 defendants convicted in federal court in 2009, 26,538 were convicted in cases the Justice Department categorized as immigration cases. Another 26,399 were convicted in drug cases. That means 33 percent of federal convictions were in immigration cases and 32 percent in drug cases.
The lack of action from our alleged President on the serious problems border states and their citizens have to endure, make it abundantly clear that these states have to take the lead in addressing this crime wave.
One way for citizens to get involved is to monitor Texas border cameras online and become a Virtual Texas Deputy. Another is to support and vote for elected officials that take this matter seriously and will work to gain control of our Southern border.
If our federal government isn’t going to seal the border, it is up to us to make it as difficult as possible for these criminals to cross our border.

Yes.
And, Arizona has the second-highest kidnapping rate in the WORLD…..

Juarez, just across a foot bridge from El Paso, is the murder capital of the world.
There is no way that much crime and violence can be stopped at the border without a tremendous effort.
I did not know Juarez had that distinction, no2liberals.
In ’96 me and my 7 youngsters, along with 32 other people from my church, a guinea-pig trial of sending families as short-term missionaries instead of a church’s youth group, met in El Paso with the Bearing Precious Seed mission people down there, and besides collating Bible portions in many languages at their compound there in El Paso, to send out to missionaries all over the world, we boarded their buses & “went in”, through Juarez, (where, “coming out”, we stopped to shop for treasures) to Chuatemoc, 300 miles in, to minister to the little villages there. Miracles quite abounded that week. : )
At this very minute, the current group, mostly of young people, is down there, on our tiny church’s yearly mission excursion…….except, nowadays, they minister to Juarez……
I wondered what was wrong when one of my young friends FB-ed back, asking for prayer for the completion of the border crossing…..
Yet, each time over the years, as I have seen news of terrible crimes going on around the area, and have questioned the guy, Jack Jarvis, who with his family that first time in ’96, never did come back home, but quit his job at 3M, sold his house, and stayed for the duration, and is now head of the mission there in El Paso –but, each time I question him, he responds with storm-stopping stories of God’s protection of them all!
Keeps me turning my face and attention off the messes, back to the One Who truly is in charge of it all anyway. : )
Yes ma’am, it is.
Go to utube and type juarez into the search box, it has become a wretched place, especially at night.
One of my FB friends just posted this link….. ):

Hey, if we’re all packin’, what are you all so afraid of?
They’re all packing too…but they’ve got the US Federal government on their side, too.
So you need your guns because??
You need them to deter violent crime. But it doesn’t really help, because (woe is poor RC) the government is against you?
Then why bother? Either give up the guns, or give up the lame circular argument.
This is an incredibly dumb comment. People have the right to protect themselves from criminals. The federal government will not seal the border to keep criminals out.
Interesting to note that our ‘two’ texas districts out number any other FOUR districts on the list combined. F’ing scary stats.
Ahh another troll come out to play I see.
Robbie? Are you wearing a special cologne or something that draws them to you like a moth to a flame? *grin*
I agree.
Those stats made me bug-eyed when I first came across this story. As soon as that passed, I just saw red.
