Our Federal Government has grown too big and has long ago granted themselves powers far and above what our Constitution allows them. And there are no longer any true checks from the other two branches of government on their growing powers.

But there is still one last check on their powers, one that the Federal government doesn’t think can slow their roll either: We the People.

And We the People are starting to wake up; according to this Fox News poll 78% of We the People think it’s time to institute some term limits on these career grafters.

My blogging mentor (even if he is unaware of our mentor/protege relationship) Ace is pretty excited by this number:

78 freaking percent?!?!

In normal times, you couldn’t get 78% of the public to agree that Canada is that country to the north of the USA.

Here’s a simple blue print for what We the People Need to do now:

Step 1: Vote ‘em ALL out at the next available election cycle.

Step 2: Replace ‘em ALL with honest men and women who are more concerned with adhering to the Constitution than they are with growing their own power and wealth.

Step 3: Repeal the 17th amendment to give states back some of the power that the Federal government has been stealing from them.

Step 4: Replace the 17th amendment with a term limits amendment.

  1. step one …it’s gone past the point, where I think the ballot box is worth a damn right now. I personally think it’s going to require a highly pissed off electorate[we the people] with guns and rope to depopulate the halls of power.
THEN you can enact step 2…which will almost certainly be…entertaining to say the least. Since some of the political conversations I’ve had over the years online, had they been held face to face would have ended in fights at best. bloodshed at worst.

3&4..*shrug* that’s what 2nd amendment was given us for. but yeah I think we need that particular amendment. I actually wrote it. hang on while I find it.
    ahhhhh….there it is.

When I wrote that I actually had 4 amendments in mind..but I forgot the second pair while I was writing up the first pair. *shrug* they”ll come back to me eventually.

Note..I’m not disagreeing with you, Robbie. I’m all in favor. Hell I’ll even tie the nooses for the hangings. I’m simply pointing out to those that may or may not realize it, that things are gonna suck dead donkey balls while we’re doing it.

  2. 78% is a damn good number, however, I lean towards finding that giant handle

and flushing every one of them down the crapper. (I trust I don’t have to explain

the definition of crapper and it’s basic function)?

Politicians have long forgotten that THEY work for US, we elected them to

represent the majority of voters. Their main concerns are to be about US not

THEMSELVES and their self-centered needs, desires or wants. They were voted

in by US to serve OUR interests not THEIR OWN.

The majority of politicians have taken it upon themselves to assail the American

‘cookie jar’ like a kid in the candy store. That type of attitude perpetuates the

downward spiral of civilization resulting in the eventual collapse of the entire

    society.

If this country was run the way that it was intended to be run……

………Holy crap, you’d be speechless as to the unimaginable life style of EVERY

single person that legally resides in America. I’m not saying this would be

UTOPIA, but it would be damn close.

IMHO the political need for greed and want of power is the most destructive

corruption any country can face. And while those are two traits that I despise,

it is something I see in this ineffectual leader and his entire cabinet.

    Midterms are coming

    Obama sucks

    And I still have beer
