Jerry Brown (D-CA): “Vote for me and I’ll pay for illegals to go to college even though CA is $9 billion in deficit”
Interesting piece by Gen. Brady about the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s convention in Charleston, S.C., but I mostly wanted to post this just because of the above quote from the General (who is himself a MoH recipient).
Glenn Reynolds: “Comparing the Soviet Union to the Nazis only makes the Nazis look better if you don’t understand the truth about the Soviet Union. Communists are as bad as Nazis, and communist sympathizers and apologists are as bad as Nazi sympathizers and apologists.”
Obama is wrong, not only for Texas, but for the United States. But, more importantly in this race, it’s important to remember that Obama has a vendetta against our state for having the temerity to stand up to his agenda.
His opponent in the November election, Republican Marty Lamb, could not be reached for comment immediately as he was busy counting his lucky stars and picking his jaw up from off the floor.
But don’t lose any sleep over it — the Obama’s have shown time-and-time again that they and their friends are well above the law:
Well, I wouldn’t say ALL of the big-government Bush Republicans have already been punished (looking squarely at you, Kay Bailey Hutchison), but we’re off to a good start. Clearing the deck of big government Democrats (“Are there any other kind?”) is next on the agenda.
With the exception of Nancy Pelosi being put out to pasture, only Harry Reid’s defeat would make me happier on November 2.
So, if you try to enforce the federal law (Arizona) you’re screwed. If you try to circumvent Federal law via the 10th amendment and the voice of the people — you’re screwed, too.
White To Perry: “My Thong Is All Bunched Up.” It seems Opie is unhappy with the Gov for referring to POTUS as ‘Barack Obama’ and not President Obama. This doesn’t accord the president proper respect, says he. I actually agree with Opie on this, slightly. I don’t think Perry is extending the president more respect [...]
Ouch, indeed: Rep. Jim Oberstar, D-Minn., has just one donor from his district
