Every day our troops fly into D/FW International at terminal D, either for an end of tour or R&R. Every day volunteers are there to greet and thank them.
On Christmas Day, when so many are with their families, exchanging gifts and enjoying their time together, a larger than normal group was there to welcome our heroes home and thank them.
While I have attended their arrival dozens of times over the last 6-7 years, I wish I could have been part of this one.
I’m extremely proud of my fellow citizens of the D/FW area for being there.
