You can get away with murder (of dogs) or people (see: Ray Lewis) as long as you can play football in the NFL
Tucker Carlson stating that Michael Vick “should have been executed.” — look, I agree that Michael Vick is a vile, worthless PoS-of-a-human. In a just world, he’d be unemployed and living on the streets begging for your change. But executed? Uh no. Almost as big of a crime is why Tucker Carlson is still employed (or that anybody listens to anything he says).
I don’t EVER agree with Richard Cohen of the Washington Post on anything political — remember, he’s the anti-Semitic asshat who wrote, “The greatest mistake Israel could make at the moment is to forget that Israel itself is a mistake.” — but on the Michael Vick story, he and I are in complete agreement:
Vick staged dog fights and killed dogs not because he had to, but because he chose to. He’s a thug…
…The sanctimony regarding this dog killer is sickening. He was wantonly cruel, not only pitting dogs against one another in fights, but drowning poor performers. Didn’t he know this was cruel? Didn’t he know wounded dogs were in pain? Is he so stupid he didn’t notice the blood, the torn skin, the…? Oh, forget it! The man’s an animal himself…
…Vick got a second chance not because he deserves it but because he can play football.
And that’s it in a nutshell.
So let’s not pretend that the Eagles are doing this as some kind of political statement about giving felons a second chance. If that’s the case, let’s see if they offer Rae Carruth a contract when he’s released from prison in 2018.

Still, I hope the Eagles drown, hang, or electrocute Vick rather than cut him or trade him or let him retire once his skills degrade. After all, that is how he dealt with his canine “athletes” who were past their prime.
And this comment gets two “Paws-up” from my beloved Chow-mixes, who are among the more pampered pooches in America.
I had no idea Chows were pampered.
Years ago a Chow came into my neighborhood and attacked the tiny neighbors dog. I opened the door to see what was going on and my Doberman, Dieter, pushed me out of the way. That tiny dog was his little buddy. The Chow saw Dieter bounding toward him with his lean 85lb. frame and tried to run.
Dieter snapped his neck with one swift motion, while barely drawing blood.
I was worried about Dieter’s behavior after killing that dog, but he came inside, laid down on the living room floor and let my two toddlers crawl all over him.
As for Vick, he is a slime ball, which makes sense that the morally bankrupt NFL would reinstate him. Their action was just affirmation as to how I viewed the NFL. I have instructed my family that if I ever need an IV and the bag has the NFL logo on it, that I refuse the IV. The NFL gets not one penny from me, ever!
If it isn’t high school or college, it isn’t football.
You’ve never met out pair, who tend to view themselves as lap dogs. But several years ago, the older of the two put her 35-pound body between me and a 100-pound Rottweiler that had gotten lose from a neighbor’s place. All that fur stood on end, making her look 3 times her size, and she bared what looked like more and bigger teeth than a T-Rex. Scared that big dog away, too — and then jumped up into my arms to try to get a treat out of my shirt pocket.
What would we do without our little friends.
Can someone who is Jewish, Cohen, be an Anti-Semite? If I remember “The Simpsons” correctly when Krusty the Clown found out he was not Jewish, he said he went from being a self-hating Jew to an Anti-Semite. But in the end it turned out Krusty was Jewish after all.
This from they guy whom said we should be able to shoot hackers dead just a few posts back. A little hypocritical don’t you think? I imagine that Tucker was being exaggerating to make a point, much like you were.
Perhaps Tucker Carlson is just as disgusted as I am with the “redemption” of these slugs simply because they can carry a pigskin. Didn’t hear Carlson’s comments so won’t comment on them.
But as long as the NFL continues to hire the slime that are some of these players, I don’t watch and won’t watch. Hell, if I want to see criminals, I just go to my local jail.
Remember, these are the people that young black kids want to be just like. And if Americans had any spine, they would refuse to support the teams that hire thugs like Vick. And since our POTUS called the team owner to thank him for putting Vick on the team, I wonder if he is lobbying for a job with the Eagles for Van Jones.
