Harry Reid is a despicable little man. Corrupt, dishonest, and selfish.
I laughed at this description of Dirty Harry:
The new 71-year-old Harry is happy because he won a fifth Senate term last month in his bid to outlast the late Robert Byrd and become the longest-serving member of Congress in American history.
That is scheduled to occur in about 29 years when Harry turns 100, barring an election defeat.
What’s Dirty Harry up to this time? Trying to sneak an amendment into the controversial Obama tax compromise that would legalize online gambling. Did I mention that Dirty Harry is a Democrat from Nevada. Where gambling is already legal — as long as you’re in Nevada. Now he’s trying to pass legislation that would make online gambling legal for the rest of us.
Now…don’t get me wrong, I’m all in favor of legalizing gambling, but
- I’ll bet you dimes to nickles that Dirty Harry’s amendment gives existing brick-and-mortar casinos (like the ones in Las Vegas and Reno) an advantage over online-only poker sites (such as Poker Stars, Party Poker, and Full Tilt Poker), and
- It’s dishonest to try to tie it to this issue.
Never mind trying to get a budget passed (or even written) — Dirty Harry has much more important things to do during the lame duck (like lining his pocket with gambling interests money).

Ha! That’s one of the biggest problems with damn near every politician, they place their self-interest ahead of the people, sugar coated with crap like; this is good for the people and/or the ecomomy.
The simple fact is no one owns the internet (period). Therefore no industry should position themselves to oversee a 35 million fantasy game population on the internet with the main players being minor children. NOT A POKER PLAYER.
Well…I sincerely wish it would be just Poker, but it’s not. It’s all about the internet fantasy games. Ask Disney!
