You can’t find richer hypocrisy than this.
The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for the general public, didn’t hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim.
In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the “Do as i say and not as i do” Anti-Gun Activist Lawmaker picked up his gun and took action in what apparently was a self-defense shooting. Why hypocritical you may ask? It is because his long legislative record shows that the actions that he took to protect his family, his own response to a dangerous life threatening situation, are actions that he feels ordinary citizens should not have if they were faced with an identical situation.
The old expression “if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns” takes on an additional meaning.
The Gun Is Civilization by Marko Kloos is one of the finest statements in support of the armed citizen ever written.
When I carry a gun, I don’t do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I’m looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don’t carry it because I’m afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn’t limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation… and that’s why carrying a gun is a civilized act.
For the armed citizen, R.C. Soles (D-NC), first I am compelled to say good job, but you need more training. On the other hand, his desire to disarm honest citizens proves what a statist politician he is. His perception that he and other elected officials create laws for everyone but themselves is exposed.
Perhaps Mr. Soles will discover what too many of our armed citizens have discovered in the past. Wounding a criminal could result in a civil lawsuit, thanks to the outrageous laws that people like Soles have helped craft to intimidate gun owners.
The desire by so many politicians to disarm us is an unreasonable request. All that is left for them to do is use force to disarm us. To which I quote King Leonidas of Sparta…Molon Labe. This term is also attributed to the early brave settlers of Texas to the Mexican Army…Come And Take It.
