Bike and cops

NOT an actual crime scene photo...

Thankfully, neither of the two officers involved in this incident were injured, and both get to home to their families after another shift of keeping Houston citizens safe from criminals:

The man was on his bike, which had no night light, in the 8300 block of Jensen around 7:30, riding down the middle of the road when the two-man patrol unit almost accidentally struck him, officials said.

The officers turned around and approached the man, who became uncooperative and started digging in his pockets, police said. The officers ordered the man to put his hands in the air, and he did, police said. As the officers were placing him under arrest and just before they were about to pat him down, he put his hands back in his pockets and pulled a pistol, Houston Police Department spokesman Victor Senties said.

One officer hollered, “Gun!,” Senties said. Officer C.E. Edwards fired, striking the man in the head. The man, in his 20s, was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police line-of-duty deaths increased 37% in 2010, and just in the past 7 days at least 7 officers have been killed in the line of duty in Texas.

All in a day’s work for HPD trying to thin the herd of thugs, drug dealers, and other assorted Pieces of Shit that inhabit this part of town. The officer should be commended for his superb accuracy under duress — one shot, one kill. Impressive.

  1. Here’s the story at channel in Houston.
    http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=7870820
Slightly different, but basically the same.
Says the man was shot, not immediately after pulling the gun out….but as soon as he pointed it at one of them, he was shot……And he Should have been shot.
Glad the police officers who were there were not injured.
Why don’t people realize that if you pull out a gun in the presence of one or more police officers, you’ve just signed your death sentence ?…It’s an automatic reaction, and rightly so.

  2. Oh shit….was it a black guy and a white officer? Here comes Shelia Jackson the ass munch Lee and her best friend Quanell X to speak up for the poor misunderstood young man. It is after all the white man’s fault that he was forced to find a gun and point it at an officer. Before long we will have Jessie Jackson and Sharpton down here protesting all the intolerant racist hicks.

Good job officers. I’m always glad to hear that you guys made it through a shift and a worhtless piece of dung is rotting in the ground!

    GOD BLESS TEXAS!!

  3. No mention of the policemen’s or the perps color.

  4. It says that they were placing him under arrest… For what, almost getting run over by them? Obviously he was trouble, I’m just curious about that one point.

  5. Although there is a certain amount of trauma suffered by the officer, I enjoy stories about low-lifes that have a happy ending.

  6. No doubt Quannel TEN will have a field day with this one. The Houston Asswipeicle is a cutting-edge journalistic rag that does not see skin-color nor ethnic background as a necessary descriptive adjective.
