We have too much government that has too much power and too little regard for the people they are supposed to govern. What we need is a lot less government, less intrusion into our lives, and a lot more freedom.
Instead we get this:
However history judges the 535 men and women in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate the past two years, one thing is certain: The 111th Congress made more law affecting more Americans since the “Great Society” legislation of the 1960s.
I know a bunch of you sniveling, effeminate liberals (and your not-so-effeminate lady friends) think that the government is better suited to run your lives than you are (and in your cases, you might just be right) — but I know that most people are much more capable of providing for themselves and their families than the government could ever be.
Just how much more of your freedoms (and money) are you willing to let our government take from you? When will enough be enough?
For all of its ambitious achievement, the 111th Congress, which may adjourn this week, also witnessed a voter-backlash driven by a 9.6-percent unemployment rate that cost Democrats control of the House and diminished their Senate majority.
That’s not a coincidence, buddy…that’s cause and effect. But I doubt that the 112 Congress will have fully heard the message of the voters, either, and we’ll have to have another purge in 2012.

Based on the number of GOP anal sphincters that voted for the lame duck legislation that Øbummer wanted, there is a lot of cleaning out yet to be done in 2012.
Making a treaty with Russia…with RUSSIA!??!
RUCK FUSSIA!!!
That dying nation cannot be trusted.
How about another treaty with Fussia that forbids them from arming our enemies and providing our enemies with nuclear technology.
/rucking fussia
Elected officials love to wallow in their self-induced divinity they believe was thrust upon them by the electorate.
They believe they have not only the right but the need to show power, pass laws and basically ‘run the lives of the voters.’
The more power they have, the bigger their head thus the greater need to make rules, regulations and laws they can add to their ‘bracelet of broken promises.’
I’m still looking for the handle to flush all them bastards down the crapper and start over.
I know you are DYING to blame Obama
Just like the left is DYING to blame Bush.
The reality is – we have NOT created a new industry in twenty years.
These forecasts may be optimistic, because they assume that Americans can continue to claw their way up the value chain in the global economy, and not get stuck along the way, as the Japanese did in the nineties. The US desperately needs no less than 27 million new jobs to soak up natural population and immigration growth and get us back to a traditional 5% unemployment rate. Since the beginning of the year, the US has created a measly 900,000 jobs. The only way that is going to happen is for America to invent something new and big, and fast. Personal computers achieved this during the eighties, and the Internet did the trick in the nineties. The fact that we’ve done diddly squat since 2000 but create a giant paper chase of subprime loans and derivatives explains why job growth since then has been zero, real wage growth has been negative, and American standards of living are falling.
Really anon? You may be right about manufacturing, however some of the best ideas still come out of this country. If not for the US pharmaceuticals would never be developed past the asprin. Company I work for has four drugs in the clinic with a pipeline of over 60 to follow. Oh yeah, I forgot, you fucking leftist hate the drug industry so they don’t count. But in the end, we will make the standard of life better because of our discoveries….the world over. And no thanks to the government. With all the regulations in place, it is amazing a company like mine can do what we have done. We have been in business for 15 years, our best chance at market is another 3-5 years away. we burn somewhere around 90 million a year. You do the math nutjob.
The other comical thing I see is the left taking away more and more freedoms. Let Bush authorize some stupid wiretaps and the press, media and every fucking libtard raise hell about the evil republicans. Now when our freedoms are truly being taken away, and in an alarming fashion, there is not a word being said. How truly pathetic the left is.
GOD BLESS TEXAS!!
D-Mac, *poof* boy comment up yonder, hiding behind a proxy.
Ha!
Merry Christmas all!
GOD BLESS TEXAS!!
Oh the jobs are there if the goddamn government will get the fuck out of the way. The oil industry, the power generation industry and another one that I can’t think of off the top of my head..that has always been one where the US is strong..at least until the governmeng stuck it’s goddamn nose in. if the government will get out of the way those 3 industries alone will create several million new jobs in an eyeblink. Reduce drilling restrictions, take out all the regulations that hinder the building of more refineries, Get rid of just a whole metric fuckton of regulations and EPA high handed bullshit that prevents the building of a whole lot of Nuclear Power Generation plants. {why nuclear? did you know there’s more radiation in the back ground from COAL tailings..the leftovers sludge and shit from the coal plants..than there is from a nuclear power generation plant? look it up if you don’t believe me *poof* boy]
