I find this news depressing and distressing:

Former Govs. Mike Huckabee (Ark.), Sarah Palin (Alaska) and Mitt Romney (Mass.) make up the top tier of the 2012 Republican presidential field.

I don’t want any one of these three to be our next candidate to oppose Obama in 2012. Don’t get me wrong, I’d trade everything I own today if I could also trade any one of them as President for our current Disaster in Chief. But I don’t think any one of these three can beat Obama in 2012.

Huckabee and Romney are much-too-much of establishment candidates. Palin has been intentionally, wrongfully, and maliciously torn apart by a MSM who has a vested interest in propping up Obama and the Democrat party.

I’m hoping another strong, staunchly and unapologetically-Conservative candidate emerges. Soon. An unmarred Sarah Palin, if you will.

  1. Depressing indeed. I guess since Christie isn’t part of the GOP establishment he is overlooked.

  2. Over at the VDare blog, today, there is a similar listing of the purported GOP front runners (longer list) with their grades re immigration (demography equals destiny) and the best of them is John Thune with a “C.” Thune is an open borders hispanderer, as are they all. There is no republican candidate I can or will currently support, if we even have elections in 2012 (for those who like to pretend they make a difference).

  4. Relax, no one would have given Obama a snow balls chance 2 years out from his election. I think someone is in the wings waiting for the opportunity to shine.

  5. I don’t think Huckabee and Romney can beat obama either….they’re already OLD news from 2008.
I don’t think John Bolton would be a bad president….but he’d be slaughtered just because he looks a lot older than obama…stupid, yes…but that’s the shallow media.
Have you heard of Herman Cain ?
He’s apparently got a very popular conservative radio program in Florida and I saw him on Greta’s show recently. He’s got the nickname “The Hermanator”.
Seems to be a serious conservative…..I need to learn more about him, myself.
I didn’t see anything at his site that gave his positions on issues…..but it’s early yet.
He may be a very promising candidate….
Here is his Presidential Exploratory Committee link:

  6. Uh oh….I think Herman Cain’s radio program is out of Georgia, not Florida.
Sorry.,…I’d never heard of him before seeing him on Greta’s show.
