It is with deep sorrow and regret, that we have to announce that Gary Moore passed away while on holiday in Spain last night.
Our thoughts are with his children, family and friends at this sad time.

1952-2011
The BBC reported his death this afternoon. No cause of death has been announced.
This news is very sad personally, being about the same age and growing up with his music from his days with Skid Row and Thin Lizzy. However, it was his guitar virtuosity that appealed to me the most, as it did to many others.
Thus another person and a piece of my youth has departed this mortal plane. As one commenter on another site stated, “God needed a lead guitarist for a new band.” If that is so, he couldn’t have chosen any better.
Godspeed Gary Moore. Your talent and passion will be missed greatly.
My deepest sympathies go to his family and friends. This tragedy is only mildly assuaged by the fact that he lives on in his music, both recorded and on video.
The one song and video of his that will forever be burned into my soul follows, though there are many others might have chosen.
