If he's not smart enough to be more discreet than this, then we probably don't really need him in office anyway
Let me see if I’ve got this correct — a married Congressman sent a picture of himself to a woman (who is not his wife) on Craig’s List. Took part in a little online flirting where he lied about his name and occupation (and, apparently, his marital status). And that’s it. No laws were broken. Nothing illegal or unethical occurred.
And yet Congressman Chris Lee (R-NY) was still compelled to resign (effective immediately) from Congress.
And yet somehow or another Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) who has broken numerous laws and broken almost every ethics rule Congress has in place — is still in office.
Answering a Washington-area “Women for Men” ad last month, Lee described himself as 39, divorced, a lobbyist and a “fit, fun classy guy.” And to prove it, he e-mailed the shirtless photo to the unnamed government worker from Maryland.
Once she figured out the man she thought might have been a JC Penney model was actually a 46-year-old congressman, she went to Gawker with copies of their bantering e-mails about bad Craigslist dates.
I wonder how much she was paid by Gawker for this story and pictures? Either she was paid or she’s a Democrat.
Personally, I think the guy should resign, too. If for no other reason than for his complete lack of judgment. But what I don’t get is the glee coming from the Left. The same Left that jizzed all over themselves trying to defend Bill Clinton when he abused his office to do lewd things to his intern in the oval office.
I guess we should be thankful that he was trolling for women, rather than other dudes (NTTAWWT)…

If you’re wondering whether this means the seat will flip to the Democrats, probably not: His district has a Cook PVI of R+6 and has been represented by a Republican for all but 16 years dating back to … 1857.

if he was divorced for real i say let him be, but i mean she’s foul for running straight to the press, how tacky is that. but he was a fool for thinking he could get away with it anyway, probably best, youre right.
If President Clinton didn’t resign for doing, much, much worse — why on earth should anybody expect Rep. Lee to do so? I really don’t get it.
He probably resigned because his wife threaten to cut off his nuts. The other issue is the picture itself. Say what you will about Clinton (Democrat) or Sen. Vitter (Republican), there are not pictures.
Kinda messed up since the guy is married but this goes to show the media bias. Bahney Fwank runs a male prostitution ring out of his aparment and not a peep is said. Dems are grasping for straws come 2012. Unfortunately this guy gave them a 1 up.
