I’ve said it before and I’ll scream it again now — Islam is a barbaric death cult. Every. Single. Bit. Of. It. There is nothing redeeming about it; the world would be made significantly better if Islam were instantly and forever eradicated. All of it’s non-barbaric adherents could convert to Buddhism or Sikhism or another truly peaceful religion.
Acts like this make me sick to my stomach:

Why condemn an entire religion death cult for the acts of a few “lone extremists?” Because the entire fucking city of Gaza turned out to celebrate the barbaric carnage:
Gaza residents from the southern city of Rafah hit the streets Saturday to celebrate the terror attack in the West Bank settlement of Itamar where five family members were murdered in their sleep, including three children.
Residents handed out candy and sweets, one resident saying the joy “is a natural response to the harm settlers inflict on the Palestinian residents in the West Bank.”
Meanwhile, Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said he “clearly and firmly denounces the terror attack, just as I have denounced crimes against Palestinians.
Much like the Arab world danced in the streets while people leaped from the burning World Trade Centers buildings.
In Israel, Islam slaughters the Jews. In Egypt, Islam slaughters Coptic Christians. In Spain, Islam slaughters Roman Catholics. In India, Islam slaughters Hindus. In Thailand, Islam slaughters Buddhists. In England, Islam slaughters Protestants.
Jimmy Carter will probably blame the Israelis for provoking the Palestinians (well, as soon as he’s done doing his celebration dance in his living room while watching the massacre video).

My experience with Muslims has been different. My Muslim friends are just like my other friends. They are kind, generous, intelligent…just normal people living a normal life. The Muslims I knew overseas were the same way. Just normal families living normal lives, loving their children, working hard and trying to make it in this world. They were not violent, extreme or militant and had no plans to convert the world to Islam.
Now, just because I’ve known a few hundred good Muslims and zero bad ones does not mean that the bad do not exist (as evidenced by this story). I believe it is unfair to judge the majority by the acts of a few. I have to side with the empirical evidence I have experience directly rather than the sensationalist evidence provided by the media.
I respect Islam and I respect Buddhism. Even though there have been numerous violent and extreme acts committed by Buddhists in Sri Lanka (terrorism) and Cambodia (rape, murder) and many other places, I would never judge Buddism as a whole on the basis of these individual acts.
Wes, my experience with the Islam is much different than yours, and mine is not based on “sensational evidence provided by the media,” but rather my own hand-to-hand experience combating them, as well as the first hand encounters of waging war against Islam by my fellow Soldiers.
Sorry…but to say that the violent acts of terror perpetrated by Muslims are few or the acts of just a few is simply not true. The atrocities committed in the name of Islam and Muhammed (Piss by upon him) are too numerous to enumerate and occur daily.
The good Muslims I’ve met (and I’ve met many) typically are not very devout Muslims. Which is why I say that Islam is the problem. Not always the adherents.

Hey Robbie. You are absolutely right, our personal experiences affect the way we perceive things. I know Muslims because I worked them. We had a common goal of alleviating poverty and providing opportunities for children to keep them off the streets. It makes sense that I see Muslims in a generally positive light. You fought against them in a conflict, so you see them in a negative light. But we both have to keep in mind that we were interacting with individuals and not “Islam” itself. My organization did not hire “Islam”, they hired individuals. The US military was not fighting against “Islam” they were fighting against soldiers who happen to be Islamic. We have never been to war with Islam and I doubt we ever will. It’s like going to war with “poverty” or “drugs”. It’s catchy to say but does not translate into any real strategy or objective.
Every day there are “evil” acts committed by Christians, but that does not mean that we should all be judged as evil. Just the individuals who commit the evil acts.
No organization, country or individual is all good or all bad. God made us complex and diverse creatures, and that is a beautiful thing. At least you admit that there are good Muslims out there, just as there are bad Christians, Hindus, Mormons, etc. All generalizations are false.

Those others don’t yell alluah akbar when committing evil acts. The muslim population in the U.S. is .08% of the total population, yet 80% of all acts of domestic terrorism committed in the U.S. since 9-11 have been by muslims.

Show me one, just one example of a Christian/Hindu/Buddhist committing an act of terrorism in the name of their God/Supreme Being.
And yes, there are good muslims, but what you still cannot fathom is ISLAM itself is the problem. You really need to educate yourself on what is going on, your anecdotal accounts of your experiences with muslims is not only tiring, but pathetic.
Hello, Mr. No2Liberals. It’s good to hear from you. We seem to have differing opinions, but I assure you I am not bullshitting. In my experience, this is how I have found the world to be. You can select any organization at random, dive deep into it, and find examples of both good and bad. That is because both good and bad reside in all of us, it’s the yin and the yang, the balance of the Universe…it just “is”.
Your requested examples of terrorism (of many examples):
1. Christian – The Spanish Inquisition, the KKK
2. Buddhism – The Sinhala Buddhists of Sri Lanka
3. Hinduism – The extreme Hindu National parties of India, Gandhi’s assassinator
4. Judaism – David’s collection of 100 Philistine foreskins, the Stern Gang
5. Islam – Al Queda, etc.
But for all of these “evil” acts and groups, there is way more good in the world than bad. Sometimes you have to look for it, but it’s there. Life Rocks, my friend.

I understand you have more of a negative outlook regarding Islam (and the world in general) than I do and I accept that. I celebrate that. Diversity is one of our strengths, including diversity of opinions. My experience, observations and education has led me to this point. Your experience, observations and education has led you to where you are now. You and I are neither right nor wrong, we just “are”.
I will, however, keep my eye out for this “jihad” you speak of. I have not seen it yet, but I have only been to 42 countries so I am just getting started. I have witnessed hundreds of millions of acts of good, and very few acts of bad. That probably contributes to my positive view of my fellow man and your….different view of our brothers and sisters.
