From New Mexico Watch Dog blog:

A bill carried by Rep. Andy Nuñez (I-Hatch) that would rescind the state’s policy allowing illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses successfully bypassed the committee process — a rarely used parliamentary procedure called “blasting a bill” — Friday (March 4) when the House floor voted 42-28 to move the measure onto the Senate.
~~~~~~~~
“Shame, shame on New Mexico,” Rep. Henry “Kiki” Saavedra (D-Albuquerque) said after the vote.
The DemocRats sure love to toss the word “shame” around when their carefully crafted plans fall to ruin.
Good for NM!
ILLEGAL privileges for ILLEGAL immigrants made ILLEGAL! That is progressive!
  1. This is one of the crazy laws that seems like it never should have needed to be passed. In a sane world, illegals would never have been allowed to get them in the first place.
    Good for you, NM. Now, maybe Texas can do the same…
  2. Finally things that make sense coming out of Santa Fe!
    KiKi – I’m sorry you represent me. I live in Valencia County and you are not representing me in your thoughts.
