Great news from the Texas 82nd Lege: Texas Rep. George Lavender (R – HD 1), has introduced HB 2756, calling for licensed Open Carry.
She’s appalled…appalled I tell you…that the Republicans voted to gut public unions. Appalled because she can’t imagine her own beloved Democrats ever doing something like this:
I not only applaud the Senate Republicans for taking this action, I also applaud Gov. Walker for remaining steadfast during this past three week span in the face of organized protests, threats to public officials and the vulgar presence of smelly hippies and union thugs in their state capitol.
When I first read Bloomberg’s headline — Government Shutdown Opposed by Americans in Poll Faulting Republican Cuts,— I thought, “Heck…they should be blaming Democrat spending not the Republican cuts to their out-of-control, spend-it-like-it’s-not-your-money spending.”
Good for them. The time has never been better to defund NPR (and PBS). But, more importantly, both should also lose their tax-exempt status, too. Via Mediate:
