Over on their Facebook page, For America has the following fill in the blank:
What a joke! President Obama is going to speak to the nation Wednesday night about fiscal discipline and entitlement reform. How would you fill this in: “President Obama talking about fiscal discipline and entitlement reform is like __________________________.
The man has spent more money than not just any other President in history — but more than every President in the history of the United States combined. The pretender-in-chief has less fiscal discipline than Michael Moore has discipline for eating in moderation.
I penned a few of my own back in September (in a post about Arianna Huffington lecturing the rest of us about the plight of the middle class). My fill-in-the-blank included:
- Al Gore lecturing us from the balcony of one of his 30K square foot homes on the necessity of minimizing our impact on the environment.
- Bill Clinton preaching to us on the importance of monogamy.
- Rosie O’Donnell giving us her views on the role of a proper diet and plenty of exercise in a healthy lifestyle.
- Charles Rangel lecturing us on the importance of paying our taxes.
- Ted Kennedy lecturing us on the importance of always having a designated driver when you’re too sloshed to drive.
How would you fill in the blank?
