With the 82nd Texas Legislature getting ready to expand our second amendment rights by allowing CHL holders to also legally carry their concealed handguns on Texas’ college campuses, Liberals are — unexpectedly — freaking out.

After reading it re-tweeted for the 75th time today, I felt much like Sebastian, who replied:
Anti-second amendment “keep guns off campus” zealots are ill-informed about CHL holders at best, horrible liars at worst. The new law would simply allow those who have CHLs (concealed handgun licenses) to carry their handguns onto campus with them. Those same CHL holders who are carrying their handguns just about everywhere else they go.
If Liberal Logic holds (I know, I know…never use those two words together), then everywhere CHL holders go, there would be wild-west shootouts and dead bodies littering the streets with their victims. And permitting them on campus, would mean that they carnage would carry over to the quad.
Except that isn’t true at all. CHL holders are perhaps the most law abiding citizens in the United States. If you take all of the gun-related convictions in Texas, those that were committed by CHL holders amounts to ~0.2% of all crimes.
All that to say that, if campuses won’t be safe for the President to visit a Texas campus once CHL holders can bring their handguns on campus as all of these wet-their-panties Liberals believe — well then, that means that the other 99.8% of places in Texas where CHL holders are already carrying their handguns are already too dangerous for the President to travel.
Oh wait…they’re not.

It is amazing that they show little concern that an armed madman might be in the classrooms(like a Jared Lee Loughner), but an armed citizen(who could save lives) with a CHL sends them into full tilt hand-wringing mode.
Liberalism truly is dysfunctional. They would rather have a mass murderer gun down innocent people so they could hold weepy candle light vigils for the victims, than support honest citizens who could protect the innocent when LE is still minutes away.
I wonder if that young twit I trounced on, in that thread here a couple days ago bothered to go look up Kennesaw, Georgia and why it’s a relevant response to his and others stupidity. I kind of doubt it. A town where all heads of household are required to have, know how to use and are expected to maintain said weapons…that has a population that’s tripled in size since the required carry law was passed 30yrs ago, has a crime rate that’s still a little less than HALF what it was at the time of the laws passage, and hasn’t had a murder in 30yrs?[that I've heard of yet. I may be wrong and missed one..it IS possible.] Nope that doesn’t absolutely stomp all over their emotional diatribes, vitriol and asinine assumptions….not at all
Like it would be a bad thing to keep him off of college campuses in Texas — or out of the state as a whole.
But by their argument, how would he be allowed in any state where there are CHLs — or anywhere in the US where the Second Amendment applies.
