This is a good thing. While I don’t know a lot about Heller, I do know that getting rid of Ensign is a very good thing for not just the GOP, but for all of America.
Via Politico:
Republican Dean Heller of Nevada was sworn into the Senate Monday by Vice President Joe Biden, replacing embattled Sen. John Ensign who resigned last week over a sex scandal involving a former aid.
Heller was joined at the dais by Majority Leader Harry Reid, the senior senator from Nevada, as Biden administered the oath of office.
Being the incumbent should give Heller a leg up when he faces re-election in 2012. Not being a Democrat and having to defend Obama’s economy-destroying policies will be an even bigger advantage for Heller.
