Our dithering Resident in Chief has decided (no seriously…it seems he has finally made a decision…or perhaps it was Valerie Jarrett doing the deciding for him again…) on whether or not to release photographic proof of the death of Osama bin Laden. And he’s come down (for now) on the side of “not releasing” them.

According to his current mouth piece, Jay Carney, releasing the images would be like “spiking the ball in the end zone” after a touchdown. Uh huh…unlike the end zone dance Obama has planned for his campaign trip to Ground Zero this week.

But Reuters has no such fears, and has purchased some gruesome photos of the OBL compound taken by a Pakistani military official. These pictures (after the jump) do not include pictures of bin Laden, but do include three men who were killed during the raid. And I have little doubt that Reuters would have released the pic of OBL if they had one, too.

Photographs acquired by Reuters and taken about an hour after the U.S. assault on Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad in Pakistan show three dead men lying in pools of blood, but no weapons.

The photos, taken by a Pakistani security official who entered the compound after the early morning raid on Monday, show two men dressed in traditional Pakistani garb and one in a t-shirt, with blood streaming from their ears, noses and mouths.

The official, who wished to remain anonymous, sold the pictures to Reuter

  1. Hussein is waiting to release the picture later during the campaign. I thnk there are alot of question that need answering. Take a look at this picture. The reports say that 2 MH-60 helo’s went in. I’ve been around those which are basically UH-60′s or blackhawks. They do not have tail rotors like this.

This is the one that got destroyed. How the hell did all those people get out on 1 aircraft? When the capacity is only about 11-12 people max?

  2. Jax, I read that there were 4 birds initially. One of them was supposed to be used to lift out the captured/live terrorists/women/children, but had to be used to extract all of the SEALs in stead.

Also read that they were MH-60s rather than UH-60s, though basically the same bird.

  3. Yeah, I think I am sure its not a MH-60 tail rotor. I’m trying to fin dout what it is.

  4. No confirmation yet and I can’t find a picture but it’s supposed to be a new stealth helicopter called the MH-X. Great, now the Paki’s will sell it to the Russians and Chinese.

  5. Robbie, I have thought long and hard about releasing the photos of ObL, so here is my take:

We live in a world where even our children have been desensitized to violence; video games, the movies, even violence on TV. And the rest of us are adults. So to show the photos to the nation that has waited so long for this is the right thing to do.

For those who say they don’t want to see them and the photos would be too gruesome, I say this: don’t look at them. And who of you has not seen the film that shows the back of President Kennedy’s head being blown off and his brains landing in Mrs. Kennedy’s lap? Or even the photo of President Kennedy laying on the autopsy table with half his head gone?

As to the excuse put out by Obama, and his paid mouth piece, Jay Carney, that to release the photos would put our military in harm’s way, I can only laugh. Concern for the Navy SEALs that were getting ready to take on one of the most important missions in the history of the SEALs was so obvious that Obama only got in 9 holes. And basically, what Obama is saying is that if we insult the Muslims, and piss them off, they will do bad things. Another joke. They do bad things even if we don’t piss them off. It is the nature of their gutter religion to do bad things in the name of their god. So if that is really Obama’s reason, then he is pandering to fear of reprisal that he doesn’t want on his watch and basically telling the Muslims what they already know about him; raise enough hell and Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. will kiss our unwiped asses.

It is time for this president to cowboy up and be a man. Tell the world “Here are the photos, and if you mess with the U.S., there is no time too long for us to hunt you down and kill you and we will.”

Repercussions? What were the repercussions when the photos of al Zarqawi was shown? Or the repercussions when Bush showed the photos of two dead sons of Saddam.

So release the photos. Americans deserve at least that much.

  6. I’ve seen accident photos that were worse than that. How about a lathe accident ?
    Now That’s Gruesome.

Anyway…..I’m almost surprised someone else (like who got the other photos) didn’t get their own photos of bin laden to release and then it wouldn’t matter whether the White House released them or not……bin laden’s dead-ass face would be out there regardless.

  7. So we can see images all day long of our wounded soldiers, katrina dead etc etc as long as the left sees it to be beneficial.
    When will people wake up?

  8. I see two head shots and one center mass shot, but what caught my attention was in the second photo. Was that a condom laying on the floor next to the splodey-dopes head?
I still don’t care about the photo, but I know it will eventually be released. Valerie Jarrett is saving it for when she really needs a bump in the polls.

  9. I am sure that there are a lot of pictures that weren’t turned in. Wait till the price goes up and they will make head lines all over again.
