I don’t like Obama at all. Don’t trust him further than I can throw him. Still exceptionally thankful that he authorized the SEALS and Army Special Forces to do what those guys do best (bad things to bad people). But I still believe that every single decision he made in the assassination of Bin Laden was carefully calculated based upon how it polls and how it helps him get re-elected.
Which makes him scum, because those SEALS who dropped in to pay Bin Laden a little visit in the middle of the night? Their actual lives — as opposed to Obama’s political life — were very much on the line while Obama sat around in a room full of white people (The View‘s resident race hustler Sherri Shepard ought to be asking, “Where are all the black people?” here, rather than at the Royal Wedding).

Unfortunately for Obama, it looks like he’s only going to get a very insignificant dead cat bounce out of this defining moment in his Presidential legacy. Also unfortunate for Obama: November 2012 is a long, long way away. Most Americans will have long forgotten about this glorious day by then. But they’ll have daily reminders of $6 gasoline, $5 loaves of bread, and 10% unemployment.

Here is what I see: Hillary has her hand over her mouth like a person who is truely worried; Gates looks like someone who is running a mission from command central, pensive and concerned; Joe Biden, well, he looks like Biden always looks, watching what is going on but nothing is sinking in. And Obama? He looks angry.
And do you notice that Obama is still in his golf clothes? Seems he was pulled off the golf course and then notified (by Panetta rumors have it) that the mission had started.
But here are three heavy hitters, Clinton, Gates and Biden, sitting at the table and Obama is sitting off to the side like a second act player. And what’s the deal? Does he command such little respect that no one said “Here, Mr. President, sit here” and offered their seat at the table to him? And does the White House not have enough chairs for Clapper, Daley, Brennan and Admiral Mullen that they have to stand? No chairs for high ranking officals watching a mission they don’t know how long will take?
OK, I want to know what kind of man can send 40 U.S. Navy SEALs into the belly of the beast, not knowing what they are going to find or what kind of reception they are going to get, and still go play golf? Is he that far removed from those he commands, or is he that cold, that knowing they could lose their lives is so unimportant to him that he can catch 9 at the green?
Obama is clearly angry in that photo. Now it is being reported that he refused to make a decision (I am sure while the SEALs were sitting in Chinooks on the tarmac) and made the others wait for 16 hours while he made the decision because he went to bed. 16 hours when the window of opportunity could have been lost, just as it was when Clinton decided to watch a golf tournament instead of letting a mission to take out ObL take place. At least he only made them wait 16 hours, not the three months he made our military wait before he made a decision on Afghanistan.
It is my opinion that Obama is not in charge of anything, including his teleprompter. He is simply playing the game, pretending to play President while he traipses all across the nation chasing $1 billion in campaign donations. He plays golf, Michelle Antoinette takes a shopping trip in two states (traveling on the tax payer dime is soooo much fun). And neither one of them show a damn bit of concern for our soldiers who are dying for this nation and doing bad things to bad people (Osama). For a man who likes to fancy himself the reincarnation of FDR, I doubt that FDR would have been drinking toddies with his buddies while our soldiers were hitting the beach at Normandy.

As to the picture, you’re dead on. Obama is still wearing his golf clothing. He’s probably more pissed about not getting to finish his round than he is finding out there has been a military coupe while he played. It also looks like he simply pulled up a chair, as if though he were late to the meeting (just like he was for his own press conference that night). If he had been in charge and had been there when the operation started, he certainly would have had a seat at the table. THE SEAT at that table.
