UPDATE: The Weiner has announced a press conference at 4:00 p.m. Eastern today.
While I’d like to assume he does the right thing and resigns (a la Chris Lee), I’ll bet it’s an apology for “bad judgement” and he implores us to “respect his privacy” while he and his wife try to deal with this embarrassing situation.
Unless of course, the whole “under-aged girl” angle is still lurking — then there’s just no apologizing for that…

Remember all the way back to February of this year when former New York Republican Chris Lee resigned his Congressional seat following a Gawker post detailing his flirtatious emails with a woman on Craigslist — accompanied by a shirtless picture of the then-Congressman in a bathroom?
Here’s what I wrote then:
Personally, I think the guy should resign, too. If for no other reason than for his complete lack of judgment. But what I don’t get is the glee coming from the Left. The same Left that jizzed all over themselves trying to defend Bill Clinton when he abused his office to do lewd things to his intern in the oval office.
Now…for all of you unhinged Liberal asshats (that would be most of you) who were screaming for his scalp and resignation based on this photo (the third released [so far] today by Andrew Breitbart) — what say you to this picture of your political hero (and face of the Democrat party), Rep. Anthony Weiner (also of NY):

Oh, wait…that’s right. He’s a Democrat. Where this type of behavior isn’t just condoned, it’s expected (ask his wife’s boss, Hillary about the perverted and philandering nature of Democrat men).

No? Not enough for you yet? Well what if he was having phone sex with Women-Not-Named-Huma on his Congressional phone line? I will not be surprised if, at the end of this all, there are revelations of Tweets, DMs, and pics sent to under-aged girls, too. Of course, that still might not be enough for him to have to resign. After all, Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy have set the bar pretty low for acceptable behavior by Democrat men.

He finally admits what we have known was true, but he isn’t going to resign, no way-no how.
It seems he is most concerned with the fact that he wasn’t “honest” with himself.
The only possible consequence to all this is a House Ethics investigation and a censure, nothing more. The dim bulbs in his district will applaud him, as will all the lefturds.
He’ll never be the Mayor of NY City now, but he’ll be a Congressman for life if he so chooses.
Hmmm…I think this enhances his chances of being Mayor of New York. Look at what they currently have, he would be an improvement.
As for Breitbart, the way he scolded and neutered the lame stream media today was a thing of beauty. Of course, they are clueless and have no idea how hard they got bitch slapped today.
