From News10 Sacramento, Dept. of Education breaks down Stockton man’s door.
His estranged wife didn’t reside there, but he and his children are assaulted as if they were drug lords?
This kind of crap needs to end NOW!
A simple investigation by one person from the DOE collections department was all that was needed, not this absurd and illegal show of force. HELL, a simple investigation could have revealed what they needed to know.
If the federal government continues to employ these types of tactics, there are going to be a lot of officers and private citizens getting gunned down.

If the government calls in a SWAT team because of a few dollars owed for student loans, what do you think they’ll do if you do not obey the Obamacare law to the letter?

Begs a few questions:
a.) Why does the DOE need a SWAT team?
b.) Why do we need a DOE?
c.) Why shouldn’t we start establishing burdens of proof via legislation before a judge signs off on a no-knock/SWAT team invasion warrant?
Your “b” is my biggest question.
The fact that this department of the gubmint has a SWAT team is in keeping with nearly every department going Rambo. I don’t know if their going Rambo is a reaction to the Columbine type incidents or not, but using them like this, when a simple investigation would have been sufficient, is very telling. I don’t like the direction this is going, when any and all armored up federal departments/agencies can no-knock a private citizens home with impunity. I will resist that type of conditioning and hope more citizens will.
This is happening far too often. At least this guy didn’t get shot at 71 times.
The part that really is in my craw is the increased number of no-knock, kick down the door warrants being executed. There was a time and a purpose once upon a time — to keep drug dealers from flushing product down the toilet.
In this instance, what’s a no-knock going to prevent? A past due notice being flushed? A collections letter being shredded? Seriously.
How much effort would it have taken to find out she didn’t even live there?
One person from the collections office knocking on the door.
If the plan is to start terrorizing every person that has defaulted on their student loan, they must be planning on having a sizable force of DOE ninjas.
That’s the thing — 10 minutes of due diligence would have nipped this in the bud. A judge actually challenging a no-knock warrant as excessive would have stopped this too.
Not long after I moved into my current house, my neighbor mentioned the previous day two teens were apprehended breaking into the house two doors down from mine. Apparently, they were burgling home in my neighborhood after dark. I mentioned that they were lucky. Amused, my neighbor asked why. I reasoned to her that if they kept it up another night, they would have left my home on a platter.
With a locked and loaded .40 in the nightstand and a locked and loaded SR-556 under the bed, I hate to have to take pause in the middle of the night and wonder if it’s two dipshits breaking into my house, or some dumbass cops who fucked up the warrant paperwork.
Sam — exactly. My first reaction was, “why the hell does the DoE need their own SWAT Team?”
Kinda like, “Why the hell does the IRS need thousands of shotguns?“
WHat in the hell is going on? Sound like obama already has the “civilian soldiers he wanted”. Remember this scary byte. ” I think the United States needs a civilian branch of the military, just as trained and equipped and funded as our regular military” “Hello Hugo my Comrade” As a vet and retired cop I hope at the very least actual cops were used by the DOE and that would still be a travesty. The DOE can’t paddle my kid but they can kick in the door of my house. Hell makes sense these days.
